That is the plan. So lots of research to do and money to save before the rebuild starts.

I wonder if a hybrid RX7 housings will work?

Wondering the same ting, and have valves that actuate at a given RPM. Challenge would be to get the cavity as small as possible, and still flow efficient.

Aparently the Mazdatrix engine is still going strong. Not sure if others have replicated the idea.

Engine will actually cost $10k and the rest is for installation and shipping of the original core. I am still looking at other options before making final decision.

The engine will have new housings, rotors with 3mm seals, porting, dowles, lapped end plates, oil and water gallaries modified.

Now looking to rebuild the engine in my garage with the help of someone that has done a fantistic job of rebuilding his own engine with similar upgrades to what I want.

The wish list is as follows:
New housings
New Rotors
2mm RX7 seals ( more research required)
side seals to be clearanced
end plated lapped and nitrite
Mild porting ( racing beat template?)
Coolant and oil galleries modified
Cleaning up the LIM casting marks
Studs

More research still to be done

Making slow progress. Not far from pulling the engine. I will send the engine to the builder soon and install it myself.

I have never done anything as major as this before so I am hoping it will work out. So far its going ok.

Things have slowed down on the build front. I put my rebuild money into the stock market and it went the wrong way. Hopefully, things will be back on track soon.

Today I purchased a used engine with 86 000km on the clock. The plan is to rebuild and get the car back on the road with fresh seals

Any advise on apex seal. I would like something aftermarket however, I dont want something that will wear the housings.

Most aftermarket apex seals are for drag and race use where they rebuild often. I want my engine to last over 100 000km

Engine is with the mechanic now so need some advise soon. I had some seals in mind however, the supplier said it will wear the housings faster than stock

Engine has been ported stronger springs for corner seals and extra dowels.

Supercharger kit sent to Bullet cars to service the sprintex and apply fixes for oil leaks and resolve the faulty bypass system

Very little wear on side plates and exhaust port look very clean. Motor had done 148 000km.

50 000km of it was boosted

My housings form the stock blown engine shows a lot of carbon deposit on the housing. Any idea on the cause?

The apex seals where worn at and angle not sure if that is normal?

What do you mean "worn at an angle " ?
