I’m not sure what builds you’re talking about. Most I’ve seen over there aren’t even up to a proper Renesis; 220+ whp. They should be better though, but those that are be few and far between …

All these guys throw the kitchen sink at this engine. Less is more.
Been saying it for years ..... GLSE housings , Renesis ex. ports blocked at the plate, equal length tuned exhaust and custom UIM ..... done! BP for braps if desired.
blocking side exhaust ports has consequences though, there is no real solution for that other than custom side plates, which again coupled with the full side primary port opening at 3° ABDC, people just aren't understanding the true physics occurring with the 13B housings added …

The NA 13b builds on the rx7club still seem to be the better options at this point for peak hp. Too bad that guy in the slow and indecisive 2nd gen build lost significant compression recently on his 13b-na build, it had some impressive numbers.
Why would think that build was anything special? PP engines regularly run up to 300whp plus.
Even to a simpleton such as myself, the evidence seems clear time and again that the hybrid msp is not practical. Imo, just accept the msp for what it is and for those who crave "more power" to consider the pros/cons of swap.
I had a discussion with this gentleman about his engine for sale some years ago. This is one of the "better" 13b n/a setups I've seen over the years albeit on race gas.
I tried to tell him in the comments that the 5 exhaust port setup was never going to work.
He's first hybrid youtuber to actually admit failure and deserves some credit for that!
Did run in tune on a Renesis hybrid build today. Had a little bit of input on this one. This is way more extreme than anything I've seen or been involved with to date. Early signs are good - should be getting on a dyno soon.
As far as specs go ... it's got everything I mentioned above but way more extreme than I ever contemplated.
Helped tune the above hybrid on the dyno a couple of days ago.
Notes:
Lost spark at 9600rpm so suspect top end can be improved once we sort that.
Have had multiple rx8s on this particular dyno including my own N/A and turbo. Typically, one in good condition will make 210whp but a really good one with free flow exhaust etc will put out 220ish.
Power is all up top, below 7000 it loses a lot as compared to a stock engine.
If I recall there was some problems with setting the ratio, thus torque is not calculated correctly, which is the reason the torque and power doesn't cross at 5252 even though its on the same scale.. (the power however is).. could be wrong in recollection. Ots ben a few "days"
a while later after posting I wondered about that, so thanks for clarifying it even though the units were displayed for me to have known better. 🙇♂️
