Rebuild Turbo or Replace
I am getting together all of the pieces needed to do the Greddy turbo kit on my 07 RX8. I picked up the kit used and I am debating on sending out the Greddy T618Z for a rebuild (planning on sending to Turblown) or just replacing it all together. I would love to do the Mazda Maniac upgrade kit, but it is out of my budget, I'm only 18. Does anyone know of another turbo that would fit on the greddy manifold and give me equal or better numbers than the T618Z. I also don't want to be a cheap ***** and buy a piece of ****. If you guys feel it is worth it to pony up the money for the MM turbo... I will put the install off a few months and go that route. T618Z Turbo worth rebuilding?
Thanks Guys

Thanks for the response.
Also, does anyone have any tips on removing the Greddy turbo from the Greddy manifold.
I have 3 of the 4 nuts off but i cant get a wrench or socket on the last one. And the whole assembly is off of a second motor that i purchased so its not in the car. It is positioned between the turbo and manifold... and wedged in by a line coming off the turbo.

Ok, I get it now... thanks for the help brettus. And do you or anyone know how to get the turbo off the manifold? Seems much harder than this should be.

I removed one of the bolts on the oil drain line... and tried to rotate it. The other bolt on the drain line is wedged against the nut I'm trying to get off. I will try to work it out next time I'm at the shop... if I cant do it I will post some pics
