well-just took my a/w intercooler reservoir out. I have a frozen boost heat exchanger that has a radiator cap on top of it so I can fill the system through it. my water tank was getting really hot in the engine bay.
ps --put the tank back in--my pump kept loosing the prime.--sigh.

Talking Hi My name is Omar and I am now super charger owner.

Hey whats up guys. So I purchased a used Pettit SC kit today. Hoping to have this thing installed before winter starts. I haven't really spent much time in this thread, but I'm going to catch up on some reading tonight. Anything you guys can help with (for EX: links to important post, threads, etc) will be much appreciated.

If you are going to target a day or weekend or something for the install, give me some advanced notice and I will see if I can come assist.

Used Pettit ?? Something my ride could have used right now. Does anyone know if Pettit is still working on a new release or has this gone to dust. So far my RX8 has everything else but one of these on it. After test driving some stock RX8's and getting into mine with Tien Mono's full exhaust/extractors intake and updated ignition they are like chalk and cheese in comparison.

Thanks to you guys on this site ... I'm loving my ride but getting too used to it need more power. Also I can't say anything bad about the axial flow short shifter.... What a wonderful toy...

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Just got the BHR ignition again, CAM said I should replace coils, wires, and plugs when I do the install. I was running stock cause I sold my old BHR ignition. Hopefully it helps out. Trying to find a used Cobb so I could get the dwell adjusted. Other than that I'm reading causally everyday. But All must do pointers are welcomed.

changing the dwell times isnt necessary for the new BHR coils
that was only an issue with the older model coils
still wouldnt be a bad idea to pick up a Cobb for logging though

Thats good to know. I picked up the coils second hand ( https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-parts-s...system-238628/ ) IDk if there the new model coils though. But the guy did state the coils are new never used. Thinking of picking up that aeromotive fuel pump in the for sale section too.

Get your car running on as much stock parts as you can. Do not, i repeat do not do everything at once. Only one mod at a time AFTER you have a perfectly running car. If ypu do everything at once and something isnt working rite its going to be all that much harder to track the problem.

SOME things you can do--like upgrading the a/w intercooler install. Installing a secondary radiator ( if you live in a hot climate etc), remote oil filter, proper gauges etc.
I just spoke with your twin Levi

Cool Time to Prepare

Ok guys parts are in. I want to post up the parts I have and the parts I'm getting from Cam. You might be asking why more parts from Cam ? Well let me tell you.
The Pettit Supercharger Kit I purchased was the "Prototype" kit . So it's not as pretty as everyone else's. The Upper intake manifold is full of welds and is not the cast piece everyone else has. Also the intercooler housing is not the cast imprinted production version. It's more circular and has a bit more welds. And the original heat exchanges that were part of this kit were not in reusable condition.

So currently in my possession I have: The supercharger kit with out the Heat exchanges and belt, dudeLogger, BHR coils. Also the crank pulley condition is questionable, so I want to replace it (seriously).

Parts I'm going to order from Cam:
1. Upper Intake Manifold
2. Cast I/C housing
3. Used dual heat exchanges with brackets and hoses
4. Gasket kit
5. Plastic Intercooler reservoir with cap
6. Belt, Rx8 Supercharger
7. Protek-R fluid

Parts purchased:
BHR ignition coils(no wires or plugs yet)

So here is where I'm at. Feel free to drop knowledge and advice. I want to do everything right from the start. I'm already questioning my purchase of the BHR coils. As a read more I see not many are using these with the kit. And OD" thanks for the advice in the PM.
