You do know Steve Kan will be in Atlanta before Dec? So a custom tune will be available and I do advise that--especially if you plan on putting it on the track.

the tune on there now is pretty conservative but, it's not my DD so...

right--and the Pettit maf pipe I have has a vacum fitting a little past the maf to feed it. It must be the picture. I just cant see it.
juan what do you have going through your TB? The intercooler water?
Just installed my 550 yellow injectors into the P2 position--getting ready for a Kan tuning. He likes to have 1000cc of fuel per 100 hp. I havent got that much according to the injector flow rates that are given. I have a feeling that with our higher than what is used for testing fuel pressures may get me close to that---I dont know?
The 550's --so far--have not caused any drivability issues at all. A/F's did drop of course but not below 11:1--so far--but I havent taken it to above 6K yet either. I am running in the mid 12's in the area where i used to run in the mid 13's

No intercooler water. I believe is a hose from the gas vapor line thru the TB and finishing at the MAF intake. Same deal.....will let you know with pictures on Sat.
you know I have been driving my car after I put the 550's yellows in the p2 spot. Dang thing is really running better. Even without another tune. still running the bigger pulley--8 lbs boost.
a/f's have changed--engine must like the gas? Cooler temps have probably helped too. I was running just the oem setup before.

OK, grab your favorite bag of cholesterol free, sugar free and fat free doughnuts and enjoy the vid. Diet Coke/Pepsi optional. Last track run of the day on semi dry conditions. Did not video the first three session cuz the rain just didn't let anyone go fast.
The run starts somewhat slow in order to bring the tires up to optimum heat range and waiting so the track to dry a bit. Halfway thru the video the is a BMW M3 following close for 4 laps. I finally let him pass and after a couple of last he let me pass cuz my RX8 can handle the turns way better than the M3.
At the end of the rainy day the track claimed two crashes, a totaled Porsche Boxter and a Mazda Miata that kissed the wall.
Overall my new Enkei RPF1/Hankook Ventus RS3 265/35/18 are way better package than my old Rays/Toyo R1R 245/40/18. However, I was not able to push the tires like I wanted to due to the wet track conditions and having the traction control on all the time.
Oh, and before someone comments on how great is to track on the rain/wet surface. Well it simply SUCKS, period. Maybe if you are tracking an NA RX8 or your mommas Festiva. On a track like Sebring (lots of turns and close walls) it is not. Got to wait till the car is straight to really smash the throttle and can not power brake before the three tight turns.
At the end of the day I only use my racing fuel mix for the last session (5 gallons) and I only went thru a gallon of water/meth (normally 2.5 gallons). The first three session where only on 93 octane fuel. That tells you how slow and off full throttle was the track day. Ambient temps 75, IAT temps 95~105, ECT 185~200 and EOT 190~200.
BTW, I didn't data logged.
Next track event 11-6-11 Sebring.

Pfft, I went out last December in a 600+ bhp spaceframed car with frost on the track, that was great, stop complaining about a little bit of water
I liked tracking the Festiva!
I'm in the RX-7 in this pic, though. My buddy Jake is driving the Festiva I drove to the track while the RX was trailered.
Maybe that was a Fiesta. I dunno. I can't tell them apart. Destroyed the tires, though.

I wish! You've spent more money on shiny wheels and tyres than I've spent all year on the renny powered buggy. 
That's plenty of fun in the wet too with the throttle wide open, even when it consists of 8 inches of mud you can't stand up in
Bit of training from some wet weather specialists/instructors and you'll be quite happy squeezing the throttle open in the watery stuff...and grinning like a loony when you pass everything left right and centre whilst they're worrying about the rain too...

i think the track surface at Sebring is not real water freindly either.
Yea--it can be fun and everyone on the track are driving under the same conditions--but with no run off room ( some areas) I aint a gonne bust up my car for nuthing.
This aint racing for a coffee cup.
Now off road and mud----OH YEA BABY--now that is fun as long as you have enough tearoffs!

Does anyone have any issues with idle. My car runs perfectly with the Hymee system however, it will not hold idle when the revs drop from above 2000rpm causing the car to stall. My solution is to blip the throttle as it falls below 2000rpm and then it holds and idle a normal.
The system in the Hymee kit is the same except the blower is 2.1L.
The car has been tuned using HKS FCon and unfortunately it does not have idle control.
The other option is to use Pro tuner to set the idle.
Would love to hear if any of the Pettit kits are having similar issues and your ways of dealing with this issue.

we idle at 1200 rpm.
But, a couple of things.
1st check that your bypass valve is working ok.
2nd-- how close to the blower is your TB? Then how close is the TB from the MAF?
3nd how long a straight tube from your a/a intercooler to the maf?
superchargers can have a " flow back boost wave" of sorts that can influence the maf during deceleration. So the distances of the above can be something to look at.
You also may want to try a screen in front of the maf--that has helped some people.
But--yes some of us have had that problem. For us it usually is related to how the system is set up in front of the maf . Now others may have had something else?
Of course all this is taking for granted that there is no vacuum leaks anywhere.
But, a couple of things.
