The same maps dont work as well with or without the cat. You need sedate changes to get the best of it.

You need not make many changes to the interceptor tune if you remove your cat, but you can make the best of it.
The Flash needs every thing pretty much stock between the MAF and the last O2. If you change that the ECU trys to correct itself to keep the CAT lit off adding fuel and running to max fuel. Its step 1 to getting the kit Carb certified in those states with emmisions. Trust me on this, youl see a dyno to prove 269 2nd stage very soon and the HP climb is so liner, I was scratching my head, no wobles or drops, youl see it on the pettit sight soon.

I wonder if it will be a portable flash tool or will I need to send in my pcm? I'm hoping for a portable tool and I'm hoping I am somehow on that list.

Moon, how about an RP super cat, will that work? Will it work on the at?

Even though I knew Cam was developing it, I was careful not to bug him about it at SSX. I mentioned it once and he did not respond so I hope he did not think I was not interested.

You beat me to it Phil! Had to step out for a sec.
But yeah will a high flow cat work? Like the one for the RX-8 on the rx7shop.com or something site? Or Greddy high flow cat? I was told buy Ray STL that if I fool the o2 I will still have the code and light on then it will get moved to the back to make room for a new code. So now my question on that one is; is the code the reason for the idle/car running like this?
Phil, Aer you hooking up a tool where you can read the codes and delet them?
Food for thought?

I cant go into that at this time but ill tell you when I see it ready to ship or what ever. I do now it needs all of your coded moduals together at this time, the key, the halo around the key and a few moduals I cant discuss for the safty of peoples parts or vehicals getting stollen.

Thats to be tested, no reason it wont work that I forsee though.

Ow, also, you can hookup an interceptor without messing up the flash to run a custome pully to push ??? psi. You can run 12 psi withought overspinning your blower at 9000 RPM, govern it at 7500 and Id say 16, 18 maybe for those days when you want to just track test. Ow you say to high a compresion, well, cant say anymore. Let me see what happens next week.

I'm of the opinion that RB reflash via the JTAG interface, which requires PCM removal and dissassembly (no-pun intended!) rather than through the ODBII port.

Cheers,
Hymee.

Hey Dan, maybe we can head over to DRMO and see about getting an old dash panel out of an F14! We'd have all kinds of gauges then!

sound also like i have made a good decision to get the int x---
when I track--i install a midpipe
when i track it can be in the winter, summer or fall (temps can range from the 50's to over 100)
I have the rb street flash and when i get to the track my long term fuel trims affect the car. I pull the room fuse and then reinsert just a few minutes before i pull out of the staging area. Its not much but every bit helps.
Nice to know the flexibility of all this. Good info
thanks Moon

Phil, Ear you hooking up a tool where you can read the codes and delete them?
Food for thought?
I presently have a Scan Gauge that allows for reading cels and deleting them but if the cause is not fixed they will come back, for example the infamous cell that the X throws. I just clear it out every so ofter and let it come back so that I can check to make sure nothing else is wrong.
I'm glad that the flash will accept the high flow cat (I can keep mine on). The possible use of the X for other uses is also intriguing. OD has some good ideas for track racers. Moon, you made me happy

The flash is done through the OBD port from what ive seen, Bill and Cam never even opened Carloses ECU cover and had it Flashed before the instal was even completed, I like it alot.

Moon with the Flash are the fans going to be able to be set to turn on at a lower temp. Like with the Racing Beat Flash.

The DSC can we invert it to be off and only on when we switch it on.

Both excellent questions Roland!
If we can internally control the Fans, then I can off load my MazSport Cool Fan Mod. (Which as it stands, I like a lot.)

And I would rather the DSC remain off as well and I can switch it on when it is raining or snow etc...

Although i've owned the kit for a few weeks now, I bought a used Int-X and have been waiting on that to do the install.
