No need to apologize OD cuz it is all trial and error with a bit of old skool know-how.

 

I was thinking about the same thing, really thick gasket or even 2 then a stainless shield between the intake and exaust keeping it closer to the exaust. How abot 2 or 3 gaskets between the block and exaust mainifold, headers that way once the heats out it dosnt sink back into the block. Just throwing ideas around.

 

hear ya----what Pettit should do is to get a phenolic gasket cut for the intake (sell it at $40 a pop!)and a bolt over shield for the header(i have). DId yall get that pic of my ventilated lower intake?

OD, on your lower intake, you still make use of the SSV and APV, correct? It was just the VDI that you eliminated, right? Trying to catch up to what you have been doing.
