OMP High Pitched Noise
Okay so this has been discussed a little bit in a different thread (https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=211884) but I thought I would bring the issue to it's own thread.
My issue: There is a high pitched sound coming from my OMP air hose (see video below).
Background: The turbo kit was installed in October 2010 by myself and is currently still untuned. After about 500 miles of driving and 4.5 months of winter storage with the new turbo kit (not ever exceeding 1-2psi and rarely exceeding -5 mmHg in the UIM) I realized that I had my Jet Air Hose and OMP air hose mixed up. This means that the OMP air hose was connected to the charge pipe right before the throttle body. After realizing this mix up I swapped the hoses around to their proper location and now what you see in the video is what I got.
The high pitched noise is not there until the car is fully warmed up and has been sitting at around 180F coolant temp for about 3-5 minutes. The sound comes in relatively quiet and gets louder and louder until it is as in the video.
This sounds an aweful lot like a vacuum leak except when I plug the end of the OMP air hose the sound dissappears (as in the video); but I don't want to completely rule out a vacuum leak.
Further speculation into the matter leaves me wondering if it is potentially a metering oil nozzle or a metering oil nozzle check valve problem that may have been cause by the line being connected to the charge pipe.
Anyone have any other ideas as to what this could be or has anyone else experienced this type of issue?

both the OMP and Jet air hoses are controlled air supply leaks to the engine as designed by Mazda, as long as everything is hooked up properly this is all you are hearing and it's normal
contrary to the OP's assertion, you can't really mix them up since the both connect to the accordion tube ahead of the throttle body and pull from the same source

Gotcha, only thing is this noise just randomly happened today after a MAF cleaning. No vacuum hoses were touched or moved around as the OP had done.

the better your engine vacuum the louder those noises will be
all that metal intake piping may be resulting in some type of harmonic resonance
it could be related to something entirely different, it's not really anything that can diagnosed properly over the internet short of guessing
