but good luck to you, and i can't wait to see what kind of numbers you can pull out of it, i mean even if you only hit 250 wheel, that more power than the pettite SC kit and for less money, plus you will have a blow off valve lol (I love BOVs)
but i did have one question, and mabey you have already answered it but i didn't see, are you doing anything about an intercooler, i don't know if you have one yet or not, but if i were you i might not even run one at first, mabey add t when you do the fuel system. reason being is its going to be far enought away from the turbo that it will have plenty of room to cool, the only problem would be heat soak from the exhaust, and a fix for that would be exhaust wrap. and thats something i would suggest anyway, not only is it going to lower the temps arounf the exhaust but tis going to keep more of the heat inside the pipe, which will help keep it up to speed slightly. Honestly i doubt you would see any changes in numbers on a dyno between the two setups, and the wrap is going to cost about the same as an intercooler, but it would be a little easier to fabricate, and when both the wrap and intercooler are usedin cunjunction later on, you most likely would see more gains
i mean i see tons of top notch race cars with thier entire exhaust wraped all the way to the rear, even with conventional style turbo setups and even N/A.

I already installed the Intercooler. no pumping yet though.
I wrote about it on page 4. in one of my progress report posts.
and thanks for the support.
As of now.
I received my waistgate flange and the actuator, so yesterday I finished the hot side plumping and the the turbo setup, The entire piece is ready to go into the car, so today I will be taking the car offline. :-)
Pictures will follow.

I't'll work out just fine, man :-)
That exhaust gas got nowhere else to go but through the turbine.
A question for the you guys.
I keep getting confused as to how to setup the boost controller.
I got this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-T...34931215QQrdZ1
anyone has a diagram as to how to put it in?
I have my guesses, plus I saw some diagrams online as to how it should work, but they are different, so i am confused.
Any Ideas?
Oh and I have a dual port internal waistgate.

yeah there are different ways for internal or external wastegates, i don't have any diagrams though, and mine is external so i would probably only cause more confusion lol

Progress:
Received and installed Int-X
Except for my own stupidity due to late night installation and being tired, thus sticking a VAC hose into a "wrong hole" so to speak :-) I had no issues with it.
Fixed it in the morning and drove the car to work. Works great.

Wow... just wow. Very interesting build. Just like everyone else I can't wait to see the outcome.
As for the intercooler, do you not think that it might be too big. From what I understand STS doesn't even run one. Are you not worried about pressure loss?

But, not to beat a dead horse, isn't that intercooler quite large for being a rear-mount?

It is a 6 port 6 sp MT.
Yes, I am doing all the work myself. the costs are discussed thoroughly in this thread just on the previous page I believe. It is so far hovering just under 3K.

Well this just means that I can run colder and thus denser charge.
More fuel at less #. Or I can run Higher pressure if need to without risking detonation.
As for the pressure drop: it is a relative term. I will be measuring the pressure from the throttle body. That is where the Int-X reads from, that is where my gauges will be connected. I could care less what pressure will be at the other end of the intercooler, as long as my target pressure at the TB is steady and held well.
The only issue that I am concerned with is the time it will take to pressurise the thing bringing the system to the desired boost level.
We'll just have to wait and see.

yeah sorry i had a brain fart and forgot you had the interceptor.
and as for the intercooler, if it takes too long to boost once itsup and running, the first thing i'ld do is just put a pipe in place of the inter cooler just to see if it will make a dif. or not.

If it's that bad, I may consider doing it, but my goal is powerful drivability, not an instant boost. if it builds up smooth and gradual, with the pick HP all the way up near the red line, that is what I want.

Not sure yet. Ultimately I'd like to learn how to do that, so I might as well try, or just take it somewhere for a tune.
Guys, Any rotary tuners in West Palm/Boca, FL area who know how to tune with Interceptor?
