The Official Overboosted Overlords Club
Car started and ran around block, died getting onto my driveway. lol
Now need to fine tune it cause idle is at like 10 slowly went up once warm. to like 11s lol..
Step on it no load 14s. Cant get connection to microtech cause computer sucks.
Now car runs rough need to fix the tune cause the esmiril ignition. Also lots of smoke i get, its white too. when i step off it comes out.

**** i havent even started tunning it. Car keeps flooding cause of that crap tune. Had to tow it home last night cause it wouldnt start at work. Battery is **** too. Gonna try to fix all that and tune idle/start so i can make it to DGRR
Hmmm. I idled at ~10.6 for a long time with no real trouble starting (other than in cold temps which was not really idle AFR related) and never flooded. Then again, if you run much richer than that and stall, it might become an issue. The mass flow of the engine at idle is pretty low so fuel consumption even at 10:1 is not drastic. It certainly doesn't help your MPG though.
Yeah this was staticlags kit, and he tuned it. I was told by him that he had it add much more fuel at cold starts and what not so thats the problem for sure. Ill keep posted, i got till 6pm before i decide what to do.
BTW anyone want an esmiril turbo kit? lol ill help you install it

I had a similar problem when I forgot to connect the coolant temp sensor... Just in case it's tuned for a car with same injectors. I mention it because when it warmed up it ran better, because it wasn't changing map when car warmed up since it had no temp reading...

moroso 3.5 quart a/w intercooler tank with filter and a fuel cell type lid....if i ever what to drop some dry ice in there.
on the passenger firewall is the snow w/m controller(black box), wwf tank and remote oil filter. the little filter on the driver side firewall is a crankcase vent and where we pettit folks add the crankcase oil. the red lines are the w/m lines of course--the little black box right behind the battery is a voltage stabilizer--appears to work--my data collect lines on the graphs were smoother after the install,
+ lot more stuff in there somewhere

you shouldn't bust them by tightening up the sensor as the seal on the inside of the hole not the flat surface.
I think it is a 28 x 1.5 mm ? if you busting them then go a little smaller 27x1.5 any bearing and seal shop will probably just give you one.

Well last the last time it was intact, it was looking a little loose and worn, so it probably got pinched that last time I put the MAF on. Thanks for the sizes, I'll try to hunt some down.
So im gonna forfeit my title of a overboosted overlord for time being. Kane go ahead and remove me from list. Idk if i will be back on, but if i do it wont be a boosted renny.
Thanks for help guys.
Thanks for help guys.
well for one the reliability of it. there is only a few guys that are with in the power range i want that have had a success with the renny.. now i feel that it would be better for me to not boost it so i can keep driving it this year while i work on my 2 project engines.
the esmeril turbo is a good turbo for those that want minor power and wont use it hard on track/street. for my purpose i would have to upgrade turbo and wg to have a safe kit. thats 2k more. plus tunning and anything that will happen with a boosted renny. so i decided to go with a na type engine that will be safer and take abuse a little better.

I know i can. But the thing is. How reliable will them 300-350 hp are they gonna be? Who knows i can hit that mark and 100 miles later turbo goes, or 100,000 miles. Either way i do NOT want to find out how many. i dont want to risk it. So i have a plan for something more reliable that can hit that mark... Also how many esmeril owners out there with a 350whp car?? I don't want to be first to find out what happens then.
