Mr. Snowflake -
Whoever put the wastegate there needs to be shot and pissed on.
(Not necessarily in that order.)

you have a hill ? perfect .
Top of hill , Ignition on , 2nd gear , clutch in . When you get up to a slow running speed release the clutch . When it starts , quickly depress clutch and use throttle to keep it going while trying not to over-rev it . Handbrake to stop you careering down the hill in neutral might be a good idea as well
Don't worry about the loose oil line - so long as oil gets to the turbo a little leak wont hurt for now .

They do offer a lower profile wastegate now. And isn't there a nipple you can hook that line too instead of where its going?

But it is low no matter what, that's why I always tell people, if you are getting that kit (with that old style wastegate) I would definitely NOT lower the car, ever. They way I drive, I'd clip that **** straight off in a day.

You aren't the first one to relocate that wastegate, but I never understood what needs to be done to do that. You think you can do a little writeup about it?

Well on my diagram it said i need 1 hose to the side of it, and one to the top. Even if nipple wasn't there its still low. lol

I have a company banquet today, so will push start it after wards.

For the one I did; the wastegate had like a 12" extension that helped.

The top one helps it hold more boost - not required if you have a BC.

So I dont need 2 hoses?? on my AEM boost controller it said to have it like that..

Also do you know how much one of those wg extensions run?? Cause i think i just smashed my bottom fitting going into my garage. its like 1.5 inches elevated from driveway. In reverse (Not i was pushing it....)

That wastegate is stupid low. I thought some of their first versions had it mounted up by turbo? I liked it there more.

One small rock and your w/g is crushed, overboost and zoom-zoom-BOOM!

It all depends - I meant the top one BTW....it helps to visualize how these things work.

In between those two nipples there is a diaphram so you got []|[] two chambers like that seperated by a diaphram |....

So if your boost pressure is enough to overcome the bottom chamber and push the spring up [-]|[+] your WG opens.... if you tap the top chamber then in boost you will have [+]|[+] and no WG opening.... if you tap the top one into the UIM then you will have no WG opening until you let off the throttle and go into VAC (like a BOV kinda)..... etc etc... the reality is that for safety factors - you want the top chamber to get atmo pressure only. PS - the WG we had leaked like a bastid - so you might want to reseal it etc... or buy a new one since the Esmeril is a piece of ****.

Well right now i got it set up like this... Side of WG and turbo inlet on a t, then from there it goes to my solenoid. then from solenoid to top (botton) of wg. like i said this is what AEM instructions said.

Now i will get a tial 60mm later on, i just don't have 600 to spend on it right now. Got trip to Deals Gap and new tires to get.

NOOOOOOO - you'll blow the motor. Run it to the side leave the top open!!!!!

And get a vac pump to make sure both sides hold vacuum.

Send pics if you want me to verify - I'll take the hit.... but if there is a pressure leak then nothing I can do - the WG won't open.

Mine is 1 hose to the side nipple, and the top is open to atmosphere. Spools up to max fast and holds there fine. I have no boost controller though, so if you need to alter that setup for a controller I wouldn't know about it.
