yeah that waste gate is insane when all they have to do is make it like kanes pic below and rotate the WG 90 so it can be hooked up to the exhaust.

Well I broke down... even though I said I would never buy Windows again - I needed a dedicated tuning computer.

Mobile and enough juice to run all the EMS's and my software for $300 bucks. The pen is for comparisons. I forgot how much I hated building windows machines..... there is 8 hours I'll never get back.

Hey kane, Above we talk about running the line from the side of the waste gaste to the solenoid and from the solenoid to the turbo. I have the greddy profec 2. Should i make a t and connect it to the back of the boost cc at the solenoid or infront?

To my Understanding of kane's advice, i drew this.. lol

Now i would assume you plug the hoses to the corresponding Solenoid channels. Which you can find on your instructions. On my AEM bc this way was illustrated to be for a turbo with a built in wg. But i will trust the fellow Overlords

That looks right man - what did the AEM instructions say to do?

FOr an external WG - on the Greddy; you just change the port on the solenoid.

Huh?

For an EXTERNAL WG - they get plumbed differently for the Greddy - so instead of being at a 90 degree like mine; you port it on the opposite ports - the instructions tell you which COM an NO goes where.

AEM said to do: Side of WG + Turbo = 1 port, then 2nd port = top of WG.

Freakin wierd - looks like the AEM regulates boost by pushing air into the top can to equalize the WG.... it will work - but still wierd....

So looks like the AEM lts the turbo pressure to to the WG all the time - but add boost pressure to the top can to keep it closed - then when it wants to open the WG; it allows air to bleed out of the top can and the boost in the bottom can pushes it open.

Well i got like a 50% discount on my BC, o2, and oil temp. So can't really complain.. Also i only need it to hold my boost and that functional scramble button. Otherwise i dont care for other "cool" features. Wont mess with it too much

That's all I wanted too, but I had a hard time dialing in the boost I wanted.

Something about that diagram doesn't sit well with me. As you said Kane, wierd. What do you think in terms of risk during failure of solenoids and junk?
