I just do not understand why he wants to keep it a secret. Blindly trusting someone to tune your engine is crazy. Makes me wonder about what else he keeps to himself.

Fluid,

Not trying to be an *** but I think it is bad taste you come to this thread to make a statement. Several members had legitimate questions you ignored and then deleted the thread. Now you come here saying you are not going anywhere and have more products coming to market. Being up front with people goes a long ways to gaining trust.

Because I am not the only one making decisions. I can't answer all the questions just yet.

There are 4 people I coordinating with to make this happen that is all. That thread was only used for gauging interest, got what I wanted and now I am done with it.

I have nothing to hide really, I delete my other for sale threads as well. I don't like clutter in the vendor section.

A caveat: Ray wanted me to point out that us Bullsh*tting doesn't mean we agree on my points. Or that we don't agree... he is weird like that I guess.

I shall be responding further this evening... suffice it to say maybe if I start giving away what others are charging for maybe we can cut to the heart of the matter.

its not about what you like, or what you want though.... its about what the customers like and want. Imagine if Wal-Mart decided they liked to run their stores with no lights on, and if they wanted to take price tags off all the merchandise... it wouldnt take long for them to loose all business. Of course there would be those few that would go for one reason or another, but the majority would not and they would fail.

Shouldn't you be happy then? If Fluid Failed?

Goddamnit Brice, how do i have to explian it to you for you to understand? We've been through this on IM.

NO! Fluid succeeding and appeasing the customer base here is good for ALL of us. It would mean competition. Competition means we have more options for sourcing parts, and likely some form of price warring.

It's a moot point now since it's being sold, but one of my concerns was whether or not I could count on Jeff to be able to provide my tunes during my restricted timeframe for install. If he could not, I would have to of sent money back home to have my parents take the car to a shop to uninstall everything as I couldnt get it shipped to belgium if it wasnt done. All of my experience with Jeff and the AP service thus far have been excellent. But given the track record, its hard to say.

At one point it was a possibility of me looking elsewhere for possible tuning solutions. You would not have been off the potential prospects just becaue you are you. But to be considered you would have to give me what i wanted to know, and make me WANT to do business

to be a bit more personal because i know how you view me... Yeah, right now i dont much care for you. I think everyone here knows that. But i dont think you are beyond the realm of being able to gain my trust and business. I give you a hard time often just as much to gauge what kind of person and vendor you are, as it is to ask legitimate questions or concerns. I for one am not going to hand my money over to you to find out what i feel about doing business with you. You have to make me comfortable in that before i will consider anything.

If you actually think that about those of us who were posting questions in your thread you are an idiot. I didn't spend all the time asking questions and giving suggestions on how to make the service succeed because I want you or your company to fail. We WANT there to be a good reliable tuning service... we also want it to be trustworthy, not some dodgy used car "trust me" bullshit.

This is from your other post which just boggles my mind... after you didn't answer a single one of my questions which were completely legitimate and intended to help you... you lock the thread and say it was "useless banter".

I was going to offer some more suggestions about a web-app to help your tuning service, but I'll just say right now you have lost me as a potential customer for this "service".

Oh and why in the world is this in the Overlords thread? Can we get a separate moderated thread for this bs?

You were actually one of the only ones that made me think about streamline our processes.

I actually wanted to thank you for pointing out what I needed to look at.

Which is what I am currently doing.

Like I said more answers are coming

I brought it here because all of us Overlords have a vested interest in the tuning issues surrounding the RX8. I wasn't going to try and turn it into a debate; but if it is so be it - Fluid is a member too - so game on.

Alright, well, I've really said all I want to say on this, but if you are going to address the process and post up some updates thats cool. I'll be quiet in the back of the class and reserve my comments for those updates.

Very nice, make sure to post a review thread about the upgraded turbo. Btw, if I haven't mentioned it before your car looks freaking amazing and makes me jealous. I absolutely love the front bumper.

Did you store it on a cold concrete garage floor for a month or something? That could do it in Winter. Sorry if I missed it, but what kit? Or is it custom?
