hmmm... i guess i have never really saw what the big deal was... i have many a friends who have tuned on the dyno and had sprayed nitrous. no major problems with them .. they are mostly domestics though ... even though, i am not sure what the major difference would be if you were spraying a 55 or 75 wet shot. and as far as the "giant fan" ... wouldnt not having a fan being the same as spraying of the line?

There was a video on youtube of a mustang manifold obliterated by nitrous backfire. Giant fireball and shards of metal flying everywhere, about 6 feet from the camera man's face... Fun to watch.

i agree that nitrous backfires all the time ... but not just on the dyno .. i have seen it at the track and on the street ... yes it is bound to happen on a dyno .. . alot of the time its the tune and or a dry shot that will backfire and blow some **** up .... maybe i should get my install done and post my explosion on youtube

I was watching the Pinks marathon on Thanksgiving and one of the cars had a nitrous backfire. It blew a hole in the hood and shot the carb pretty high into the air. Pretty cool looking but I'm glad it wasn't my car.

most of us I'm sure run wet kits........nitrous back fire happens.........but mostly to retarded people who doesn't tune their ****, and doesn't have the necessary safety equipment, or if something fails..........

And what tuning have you done in conjunction with your nitrous??

That's the beauty of most of the systems out there; there is no tuning necessary, just knowledge of what you can do in your own given circumstance.

Look at it this way; if Taj hasn't wrecked anything yet anybody else would have to try REAL HARD to wreck their own.

^ oh cmon Ray at least give me some credit for not destroying my car this long even though I spray daily.......well nightly anyhow.........

but I downgraded to a 60 shot though........since I heard these NKG rx7 plugs arent as good as our stock ones.............

but 1 thing u really need for safety is a blow-down tube, and a purge kit........

fuel pressure regulator isn't rly necessary for anything below 80shot, if ur beyond that point then..........good luck luke......may the force be with you

A purge kit isn't used for safety, it used to clear the gaseous nitrous from the lines so only liquid nitrous oxide reaches the intake

And you can't use a fuel pressure regulator on a returnless fuel system (like the 8 has). You have much to learn, before you keep spreading inaccurate truths

I didn't know that part about the fuel pressure regulator, so lesson learned there anyways (thank god i didn't buy it then)

but if purge kit wasn't necessary, why is it a safety equipment(idk Ray told me that at SSX) and I've read that a purge kit does ensure safety somewhat for your engine

This is the same butt dyno that thinks an MT RX-8 isn't much faster than an AT RX-8...

Paper dyno says +75rwhp with 75 shot. Both are equally worthless.

forgiveness? in what line does it say that?

yes, my butt dyno is definitly wrong, unless ofcourse there is something wrong with my MT8 that makes it not faster than my previous AT8....... unless ofcourse mazda is pwnage and every single car that they made are made to spec (wow, this is so completely true, just like every hill billy marrying his own sister)

aha, lol well I'm taj, so I expect everyone to take hostility from my every word, in fact I think I do that so good that I can actually promote wars between countries........but hey, can't be done with u guys

Somebody needs to Man Up and get on the roller!!!!
Honestly, with the popularity of N2O on the 8, I'd want to see some numbers. I'd like to know how you'd do with a 75 shot against me N/A. I figure an 8 would have to put down 265 to be even.
Dam LS engines. You could put a stick of dynamite in the engine and the frickin thing would just burp out the smoke. Tuff bastards. Hell, i didnt know anyone even put anything less than 125 shot on ANY LS's

which is one more gripe I have.........those 350zs and g35s can run 100shots like stock............not tune wtf

we're stuck with 55shot stock......60 is doable IMHO (mostly cus I am using it daily)..................65shot if ur lucky (like Chris)

I wonder whether we can ever run a 100 shot if we tune.........Ray??
