I was wondering who else would pick up on that little detail.
Dave's legacy lives on and I'm sure he's smiling down knowing his motor found a great home.

i never had the pleasure of meeting him in person, but we had enough interesting exchanges over on Rx7Club for me to respect him a great deal, and consider him a cyber-friend. i'm not really religious or anything, but i do believe wherever he is, he's throwin' up a finger and smiling right now.

Thanks man. I am very much excited to put this work of art (both externally and internally) in, and can't wait to get it running. Taking my time though so things go accordingly. I don't want any mess-ups with this motor. Will definitely have a video of the first time it's fired up.
To update this thread since it has been almost a week.
As of this morning...
This was VERY easy because everything was pretty much taken off except for the turbo, LIM, OMP, and Oil filter stand. I know it won't be the same when the new engine goes in. lol
Another pic of the new engine as it sits currently awaiting the transfer of more parts.

Thanks guys!
Yea Bret, same turbo. I do have yet to dyno with the new setup. I picked up a new turbine housing with a smaller wastegate port. That, with the MM's actuator, will hopefully reduce my fluctuations. I have yet to reach the full potential of this turbo with all that darn boost drop and fluctuation problems. I have something up my sleeves that I tested before this engine swap began, so hopefully the dyno event next month will finally satisfy my hunger for the magic 300+.
Thanks for the advice. I cleaned the nozzles when I swapped them on, but the lines do make me a little uneasy. I have been toying with the idea of braided stainless steel lines or even hard brake lines. I won't be doing it on this swap however I do plan to yank the engine out again near the end of the year and revamp those and more.
