Is your radiator still in the stock location, if it is you are not getting the full benifit of your IC like that. I see how your getting air to it. If your going to keep it like this and your radiator is in the stok location you will need a pusher fan on the bottom of the IC.
I remember you were going to do a top mount and I said it would be a bad idea. I misunderstood your or whoevers definition of top mount. Top mount is the FC and STI/WRX/Subi stlye.
I guess this is a half vmount. Hope it works well for you.

I get the idea, that air comes up from the radiator opening and out through the IC, but I had the same original thought when I saw the angle/direction of the "scoop" above your IC... the sloped front end looks like it would funnel air over the IC, but the back end looks like it's meant to force the air down and in rather than allow air to flow over.
Not arguing the form/function of it, just saying the "scoop" makes it look otherwise.

The underside of the IC sits in an aluminum tub (a customized version of the BHR intake shroud) that is ducted to the front opening of the car so that it isn't bathed in hot air from the rad.

Good Job Jeff. Yeah the pusher fan's the key. Alot of guys running vmounts still do not use pusher fans on the bottom of the IC and rely soley on the hood to aid in cooling. It works but not as well as the pusher fan. I did not read everything but do you also have it tied into a senor to tell the fan to turn on and off at certain temps. Some people tap it into the rad fans, some the air temp sensor. I like to run a seperate set-up for this to control/regulate when the fan kicks on.

Tailgaters beware
I looked at the dyno for MM's upgrade and it makes over 270 hp from 5500 rpms and up, thats pretty damn impressive. If I'm going to drop $1000 on a turbo upgrade I want to be sure I'm getting enough of an improvement over the stock Greddy first.
I like the design of water cooling as well, but I would like to see what kind of difference in temperatures there are.

there's a lack of owners wanting to put a effort to raising the boost with all the fixes..the pattern is they start off strong then decide to part out and sell their cars before seeing results..i eventually plan on producing results and information once another dyno day comes around

Dyno is helpful, but simple g/s log will do for me.
Anyway. I asked MM for advice, he didn't respond (that's ok) so I ordered BNR and waiting.
Got a used greddy kit with bad crack and hole in the manifold. Got it repaired but don't know how will hold. But I've sourced some new ones for grabs.
Ready to play in a couple of weeks.
