Hay guys the there is a turbo kit on the Mazsport website for 3,499.00. Is this the long awaited kit we've been waiting for?

That is the actual Greddy kit me thinks. Mazsport's kit is debuting soon.

 

Is there going to be a group buy for this turbo kit? Special discount for rx8 club members?

 

Why should there be? It's not like he's going to be selling these to 350Z owners... And people not on this/an rx8 site will probably never know about it to begin with..

 

I haven't really kept up with how mazsport is planning on doing mass fab, but there are 2 options:

1) get a big order together to be able to make a bunch of kits at once and do things the most efficiently while accepting a much larger capital investment in making the kits. This lends its self to the "bulk buy" which might not offer any kind of discount but rather be the only avenue for getting a kit from mazsport. If they were using cast manifolds, this would probably be nice.

2) make the kits more piece-meal and sell very small batches. If they are welding manifolds, this might be preferable to keep the work load manageable and capital investment small.

Either way, they have to release the kit before they sell any and, until it's on the the market, there is always a chance it won't hit the market.

 

It is not officially on the website yet because it will be officially featured at our booth at sevenstock. It will be ready for sale at that point and is a complete turbo kit.

keep in mind that mazsport always focuses on quality products that perform well. this is a kit that has been tested on a vehicle for several months.....

Thank god I dont have a wife or girlfriend to explain my bills to :-D And even though I have 3K in the bank set aside for this I know that wont cover probably even 1/2 of what I will need here soon... ugh I cant wait until all this comes out at Seven Stock (even though im not going) im sure it will get put on the forums here lightening fast.

Scott told me the turbo's aren't exhaust powered, to keep the costs down, he has had to resort to hamsters spinning the turbine.

the kit is going to come with a prepaid petsmart card, which should cover the food and extra hamsters.

Stage II involves flying squirles, but I still don't understand how that one works.
