You first have to get a manifold that connects the turbo to the engine.

Then come back and we'll talk of this 'Universal Kit' you refer to.....

The cold side tubing is the LEAST of your troubles.

You will probably have to go to a shop and have it custom made. Expect to spend a few bucks...

I plan on taking the car off the road as of september, i was hoping to be able to get a fairly generic intercooler kit that will work for the turbo setup. i plan on building my own exhaust/turbo manifold out of sched 40 elbows ect. Im a welder and have access to a milling machine and a good mig welder, and yes i do trust my welding skills. I plan on prety much bringing it, for the most part, staight up on the side of the motor. if this requires inner fender modification or hood modification this is ok.

For what ive been reading, its somewhat apparent that a 2.5 by 1/16 or larger polished or painted aluminum tubing set would do the trick. Im also planning on a t3/t4 turbo, i.e t04e ball bearing, but it seems like the price they listed me may be too cheap. $600?

when making a turbo manifold is it a nessecity that the runners are the same length even know its just a turbo. Im new to turbos so i honestly dont know wether runner length matters or not, but i could see it creating some what a of a variance in psi between exhaust discharges, but not enough to notice.
i only mention this because i know in "header" terms, the point to have equal length runners is to properly draw the exhaust out of the next port/ chamber with a vaccumm effect creating more power. When speaking in turbo manifold terms, the exhaust keeps a positive flow on inside the manifold, then bypasses the fins on the turbo untill enough pressure is created to create enough spin or pressure to create boost on the other end of the shaft.

Am i out of line here or does this make any sence, please straigthen me out.

Bottom line is there is no intercooler piping kit made for the rx8, unless u buy the whole turbo kit. If u can make your own manifold then all u need is a pipe bender so u can make your own piping. Not hard just time consuming. Also use the correct MAF size

The reason people aren't very helpful about these obviously broad topics. These threads have been beaten to death and if you searched for 1 second you would find your answer without creating a new thread.
