Yep, it's generic OBD-II cel codes, but it's:

P0351-A (L1)
P0352-B (T1)
P0353-C (L2)
P0354-D (T2)

I believe I have the correct order there in terms of which is L1 etc, somebody should confirm that part of it though.

Someone said it was a coil cel .....
Yep. Sure is.

The USDM models don't get that function until the middle of '05, but the JDM models had it right from the beginning.

The PCM expects to see a certain response across the coil trigger circuit from the ignitor.
If there is "something" between the coil and the PCM, you get a CEL, even if the ignition cycle is completed normally.

^ a bit more to it than that, hence no one else is getting a cel. Working on it, should have a fix for the oversea market soon. Scott

Actually, there are several people with 2005.5 and later that are registering a CEL.
Its a minor thing though and I'm sure you will figure it out.

^ Lot's of cars with CEL's out there, can't say anyone other than these two have reported CEL's to me. There is an 07 in the shop now running our solution for several thousand miles, no CEL. If anyone has a CEL please pm me. Thanks, Scott

Anything about resolving the CEL issues for those RHD RX-8s?

Does anybody think the CEL lights and Brettus reported NON increase in power/performance are related? Could the ECU be limiting the spark in some way?

Also, could a ECU reflash resolve this for an older model RX-8 2003/2004?

Mine is also a late 2005 and I never had any issue other than the motor spinning a little more before startup, no CEL's.

Perhaps Scott could you give us an end-of-another-week update on the current state of delays of the Ignition Solution and also the DR Midpipe?

Hey Guys, wanted to chime in and let you know we are on track for a LARGE shipment next week. Rest assured I have taken the required steps to eliminate this delay in the future. This product will be "in stock" as of next week!

We appreciate your business, Scott

wow.

thats all i can say. i removed my coils after a week. (i had a wire that slipped out, but i wasnt sure if it was the ignition or my car) so i took them out, put the OE back in. and wow. just wow.

it is quite a measurable increase on the buttdyno. except now its quite a measurable loss with it removed. sad day. the extra rumble is gone too.

here's an unmentioned before bonus, it helps with the car stalling out. i get the red engine light a lot at low speeds. (i guess im not hitting the gas enough?) but it never happened with mazsports ignition installed. made low speed crawling, like parallel parking a lot easier.

Very much doubt it .
Don't get me wrong - the car runs just fine . Its just that I tend to put more stock in my scanalyser runs than my butt dyno . There might be a little power gain but not enough to show up . If it was a car length I'm sure my tests would not pick that up . If someone thinks their butt dyno can , all power to them .....

humans are amazing, we can feel the slightest bump on a smooth surface. if we feel the same pull day after day, and then one day, why couldnt we feel more? to me, its quite noticeable.

now i understand the placebo effect, dont get me wrong. its easy enough to verify with uninformed girlfriends by doing a quick wot run. "wow, why is your car pulling harder?"

If the product is "in stock" next week, does that mean that all coils that were ordered will be shipped friday of this week?

To the spark plug question you can use your OEM plugs.

Except for the fact that there are two JDM (RHD models) in AU and NZ that have had CEL(check engine light) issues since installed. I don't know if Scott has gotten to the bottom of that yet. There is no issues in the car other than the PCM doesn't like what it's seeing in those versions for some reason.
