Well these have only really been out about a month,so nobody will be able to say really say how long they will last.

As far as pics, and you won't hardly be able to see them, but here is mine installed.

So far we know that the coils will last over 6 months becasue thats how long there were tested for before mazpsort came out with the ignition solution

Got my coils a couple of days ago and installed them last night.
Took about 3 hours and working on this car makes me wish I had tiny hands.
Didn't have time to dyno it but it definitely feels more responsive and the car wheel hopped a lot hitting 2nd gear, pretty much how it did when I had the stock 225 45's on it, I have 245 40's now and they were a little harder to get to spin going through gears. I'll have to do a rolling run against my friends Mazdaspeed protege, he ran a 13.9's with some minor home depot style mods... Drilled cats, changed w/g spring, stuff like that.

I forgot to mention, the instructions were very good and very helpful, could use a little brighter/ clearer pictures but still very good.

Yeah, the pictures are good once you know what you are looking for huh?
I think some arrows or circles would help. The early pictures have them but once you get into the higher numbers on the instructions, the circles/arrows just go away.

Thumbs up

After driving home from work in 82 degree weather I truly see the difference with this upgrade, last night when I test drove the car after the install I wasn't sure if the weather was just making the car feel faster or the ignition. Last night it was like 60-65 degrees out so i expected the car to run a little better than in the day.

Today I thought I might see a slight difference but I was wrong, I see a big difference. The car feels like it does when I am driving in 45 degree weather but in 82*. After driving my car with this upgrade I feel sorry for any one that doesn't have this on their car. My car actually started losing traction just doing a gradual rolling acceleration from a stop, not a clutch dump with the motor rev'd up, just regular acceleration and as the car hit around 4500 rpms the back tires started losing traction. Keep in mind I have 245 40's with stock cats in my car, the Agency power cat back, and a K&N drop in, plus an under drive crank pulley, but I'll tell ya the car feels faster right now than it did with the 3" cat-less mid-pipe, that came with the Agency power exhaust.

I don't know if I had bad stock coils or what, but I did dyno with the full cat-less exhaust and filter at 189 rwhp, now the difference from the dyno day is, half the exhaust is put back to stock, I have added the crank pulley since then, which I really didn't feel any difference, but now I have the Ignition and it feels much faster than the when I did the dyno.

If they sold the car from the factory with an ignition like this I bet the HP problems in stock form would be a lot less prevalent.

You guys probably think I work for Mazsport after this review

The black box thing is under the intake hose mounted vertically facing the wheel well via a bracket included in the kit. It is attached to the engine hoist hook bracket.

Everything is pretty hidden away once installed, my dealership probably won't even know I have it for a while.

yo rocketman what upgrades do you have on your 8?? I am runnin 245/40/18 and i can peal out 1st and 2nd gear without much effort.. I guess i have a freak 8.. i got it dynoed and i was pushing 179 Hp at 6K rpm but the machine wasnt reading past 6K RPM but this was without my flywheel and bad spark plugs..

My upgrades consist of Sr pulleys, msp cold air intake, cat back exhaust, 9lbs flywheel and a 50% stronger clutch... im running royal purple synthetic 5w-30, and redline for my tranny.. last night i changed my differential fluid which was sooo BAD it looked like mud was puring out.. after that instal ohh boy let me tell you the responsiveness is muuuuuuch greater lol

I am right next to a mustang GT the entire way! i beat g35's and 350z after this im SURE i can pull mustang gt's living in texas we see a ton of those haha

the plug had a lot of metal shaving which is bad lol.. I put redline high performance gear oil..

I just ordered my igniton upgrade last week.. should be in sometime in the next two weeks.. ima go get dynoed and post you all up on how much i get before and after the igniton.. Im tryin to get past 250 HP at the wheels in N/a form.. Might seem to much to ask for but heeeeeyy im up for the challange. im getting the interceptor as well..

You have more mods then me. I only have the K&N drop in filter and a under drive crank pulley, plus no lightened flywheel and a stock clutch, but we both have cat back. That clutch will help you get the tires more, thats probably my next purchase, that or a radiator.

I raced my friends 2008 mustang GT from a 45mph 2nd gear roll and he got me by about 3 cars, I do pull 350z's but never ran a G35, the G35 is however heavier then the 350z. The coupe is 3400+lbs, and the 4 door is 3650. My friend has a 2005 4 door 6 speed that has 298 hp, I will race him soon. The G35's have the same hp as the mustang GT but 50-60 less lbs of torque and the mustang weighs 3550, so I should beat them, especially the heavier 4 door.

250 rwhp sounds a little too high, I bet you can get 225 though. If the car actually made 238 flywheel hp stock we probably could get 250 rwhp.

Thanks for the "Great Product!" feedback Dave! I have not sorted the retail component cost yet but it will be very fair. Scott

Glad to here your happy Rocketman, good stuff. When you are ready I have a turbo kit that will match the ignition solution nicely. Scott

Is this ignition solution going to be hard to install? I'm thinking it wouldnt be. Is there still a high demand/low supply on these?
