I did get a P0506 CEL once during this but it has not returned since I cleared it. I reset the ECU via the ODO/TEST method and the car didn't stall but I have not been able to drive it yet. I was not leaning to that being the fix do to the ECU being reset when I took off the NEG BATT cable but I guess Swoope was correct. Sorry to post all this Revi stuff in this thread.
I was just wondering what was up cause I couldn't even see where you had posted about the Revi.

Oh well......hope you get it fixed. I like the Revi and the Ram Air. Good luck!
BTW.....you have all the instructions for future reference? If not PM me with your home E-mail address!

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Thanks for the info Scott, that clears up a lot of questions I have.

Well my idle has calmed down and I am no longer stalling. My exhaust however is "popping" more. Is this also another Revi thing or has any of the other Mazsport Ignition people noticed this?? Otherwise all is well with my 8.

*sorry for thread hi jack*

Same here

Whenever I reset my PCM (Pull battery or whatever), the first few drive cycle gonna be complete crap, stall for no reason.

After the first few drive cycle everything seems fine tho.

IS this a known problem or something?

Neither did mine. In fact, I did not notice any difference in it's behavior.

I dunno, whenever I pull my battery, the car will run like crap for the first few cycles.

It feels mad embarrassing that, at gas station, I start the car and it stalls right away ... *sigh*

Got off work today at 3:00pm, got home about 3:30pm and started the install. Went pretty well and I'm about 95% done.
Why the 5%.....well, I'm changing my plugs out tomorrow before putting the wires on. Everything is in and I'll have have left to hook up is the wire to the fuse box and of course those plug wires.

Directions aren't too bad, but that "Alternator wire" had me going for a few minutes! (ha ha)......mine had tape over the connector and was tied back in there and I couldn't find it for a few minutes.

That and I'll admit.......I dropped a friggin acorn nut and washer, but lucky they happened to fall all the way through! Oh..and the pin in the #2 connector on the harness wanted to back out(and did), so I had to take out the wire and spread the little tab on the pin and put it back in. If I have trouble on start-up, that's the first place I'm gonna look! Not sure how I will get back in there to it.....but won't have any choice at that point.

Mine arrived about an hour ago. I am really impressed with how professional it was packaged and the instructions provided. All the way down to the "butterfinger" bolts and hand verified packing slip.

Thanks Scott and everyone at Mazsport.

Okay all done! Woot!

Finshed up this afternoon and I did the plugs, the radiator hoses, and took the oppurtunity to clean the Revi filter. as well.
Soon as I got done, it fired right up. Had two codes.........
U0121 Communication error to ABS HU/CM
U0155 Communication error to instrument cluster
but used the Scanguage II and clear those and they haven't been back since.

Not sure why the codes since I just pulled the negative terminal off the battery for the install????? It might have been because I tried to do the odometer "Test" thing even before I tried to fire it up. Anyway, the DSC and TCS were on as expected and did that reset after a drive around to make sure all was good. As I said......fired right up and no issues!
Much Thanks Scott!

My idle is smooth as silk and it feels good! Haven't driven WOT yet, so will have to wait and see and since I'm NA, I don't expect a lot of difference anyway, but it does feel more responsive and stronger.........could be a combo of plugs and coils.

BTW............my old coils looked good and no white burn spots, they are now on the way to New York.

I would like to post some pics of the plugs that I took out and see what you guys think. There was no oil, they were just brownish color for the most part. I'll post pics in a while. Had about 15k on them so while I was in there......what the hell, might as well change them and put new ones in with anti-sieze.
Oh yeah...Scott or anybody...........any real reason I should use anti-sieze up on the coils??????

Shaun........do yourself a favor and really don't tie wrap anything until you are almost done. If you are like me.......You will be moving wires bundles around until you figure it out. Oh.....when they say tuck all the connectors back under the intake manifold...they mean it! If there is ever a problem in those connectors, it's gonna be fun getting to them. The pics will eventually make sense but it takes awhile to really see what is going on. At least in my case it did!

I'll post some pics later. Sorry for the novel, but life is good!

Not much to see on the install, but here we go!

Plug pics..........don't pay attention to the second plug in the third pic, it looks oily, but that was me.......as I thought I might try to clean them up and save for emergency. How do the rest of the plugs look for about 15k miles?

Man, looks good. On a side note, how many miles was on your REVi? Curious as to how dirty it was. OK, back on topic.

Scott, I still don't have a tracking number...

Well, I had cleaned it a couple of months ago and at that time it had about ~11k on it or so. It wasn't bad at all then and was better than i thought it would be. Actually very little dirt/sand and no oil. So at that time, I performed the cleaning and oiling of the filter.
I actually didn't take it out yesterday and could've done the rest with just taking out the acordian and MAF tube, but this morning.....I said what the hell and just went ahead and removed the box.........and while I was there, I might as well pull the filter and look at it once again. I did have some sand in the bottom of the box this time(as I did last time), but it was minimal.

Scott, I apologize if someone has already asked....but have always been curious about the price of a single coil should one go bad over time? Any ideas yet? What about the igniter?

Many thanks!
Great Product!
