I didn't recirculate for a while and the driveability issues were a pain. It's very touchy while cruizing and the car jumps too much. You also get loud backfires when shifting after being a gear for a short time. Other than that the install looks good. You have the same placement of the intercooler with the stock bumper as I do. Congrats and happy driving.

i have gotten one updated map from MM and it seemed to run the same as the map i already had.

I still have the issue of the pcm having a mind of its own, sometimes my tune will be too lean, sometimes to rich. today it decided to be rich and is running 11-11.2 AFRs in boost in every gear...

i am currently waiting for MM to send me another map

Can you log with MAF in voltage and grams/second? Your MAF housing may be causing inaccurate MAF readings.

Do your AFRs wander when just cruising? Like if you're on the highway holding a steady speed/rpm and load do the AFRs swing around a lot?

its been a busy week even though i was on break, but yeah i need to update this thread!

i just got my 3rd tune from mazdamaniac (thanks jeff!) and it looks like things are getting better.

-from 1st to 3rd in boost i see mid to high 11's all the way
-in 4th gear under WOT in boost, from 2000ish to 4000 rpms i get low 12's but after 4000 it drops to high 11's all the way to redline.
in 5th and 6th gear i still have the same problem ive had since day one, and that is running lean in boost (mid to high 12's).

so basically i should be set once 5th and 6th gear are taken care of and 4th gear is richened up a bit in the lower half of the rpm range.

i need to find time to datalog with this new map, as soon as i do ill post up the results here as well as send to them jeff.

driving pretty nicely, power feels good and smooth. hard to really describe it though.

boost gauge peaks at 9ish psi, i dont really have a chance to stare down at it to see how it behaves. ill ask my gf to monitor it next time i go for a run.

is it normal for the car to stumble a bit (like a rich stumble) if i momentarily go into boost for a second then switch gears and just go light on the throttle? sometimes it does this but i think it just bogs down because of how rich it gets when i go into boost and the sudden change into non-boost driving. this occurs very quickly and then disappears completely.

do you have a BOV venting or is it recirculating? if its venting then thats why its boggging. Its going rich.

glad to hear things are looking good in high load areas of the map. I don't think it's a bad thing for the 12's in the low load areas.

greg, are the brakes ABS?

this past weekend greg installed new OEM plugs, wires, and coils in my car and got a oil change. my original spark plugs were horrible, corroded, and even greg was surprised my car ran as well as it did. this was the first time changing all those things, and im at about 43000 miles now.

anyways, the car is still running great and even better now with the maintenance i just did. still pulls smooth all the way to redline and AFRs always stay in the 11's. hope it continues this way and ill keep you guys updated if anythings changes!
