KONIG's Turbo Thread
brettus: thanks for the input! we didnt disconnect the battery. do you think individual MAF sensors are so sensitive that each one must be tuned for differently?
ngorx8: maybe there was a vacuum leak, but it seems unlikely because i had never removed the UIM before and the original gaskets looked fine. i most likely will try switching MAF sensors again to see if that is what made my car go super rich.
i made two small datalogs, one of cruising on the freeway at 75ish mph in open loop im assuming (AFRs cruising were in the 11's) and the other of going slightly into boost in 2nd gear and then in 3rd. i just need some way of posting them on here.

from what i've gathered from what MM has said, MAF sensors can vary by a shocking amount from car to car. plus then you have to think of stuff like, were both of them equally clean?
yeah thats true. but either way, my car was never this rich. every time jeff has tried to tune it, hes been trying to add fuel and it wouldnt add anymore fuel no matter how much he called for it to add. so now that its super rich, wont it be easier to take away fuel when he tunes it?
i reflashed the same map recently
still running rich, but doesnt bog and stutter as much anymore when in boost. AFR still pegs at 11.2 the entire time when car enters boost.
ltft's during cruise on freeway are -2
ltft's during city driving are -6

yeah the afr pegs at 11.2 and stays there whenever i go in boost or even reach 0 psi (on the boost gauge)
im positive its way lower than 11.2, but i dont know how low

all I can think of is that you had a problem before that MM was having to tune around and you have recently fixed this problem so now the tune is way out .
You really should have a stand alone AFR guage BTW ....

aww crap, i forgot about that when i recently moved the pictures...i will update the first post with a link to my photobucket
here is the link to all the pics of the turbo install, sorry about that!

havent changed anything or got a new tune since my last update. let me recap the situation for those who are confused.
-my car was running a bit too lean in boost and also developed a small oil leak near the oil filter.
-gregs and i fixed the oil leak and installed new O-rings on the upper intake manifold while we were in that area, and we also switched my MAF sensor to a different one to see if that was why i was running lean.
-after we did all that, my car ran super rich, bogging heavily even under medium throttle even out of boost.
-i decided to try and reflash the same map on the accessport to reset the fuel trims. this made the bogging problem go away under light and medium throttle but it still goes super rich (under 11.2) and bogs in boost.
-currently i am still on the same map and it still bogs in boost under heavy acceleration.
i am lagging on sending jeff my datalogs so he can send me a new calibration so it is sort of my fault that this issue hasnt been fixed. i will try to get those datalogs done asap!
hope all that makes sense!
