You really don't have to mod the ignition for nitrous (it's basically just denser air providing more O2, to which the ECU will adjust), but since you're getting it from BHR, you'd be well served also getting their upgraded ignition system (recommended even if stock).

Technically you do not NEED to modify your ignition. However, Its definately a good idea to make sure that your coils are in excellent condition. Upgraded coils would be a Very Very good idea. A misfire with any power adder can be a bad thing and lead to many differnet issues.

To sum it up. If you want to save money and take the risk of misfires while spraying, stick with the stock coils. If you would rather play it safe, upgrade the coils to an aftermarket set.

Again, get the BHR ignition system which includes better GMC Yukon coils.

Of course get the BHR custom throttle body spacer and nitrous nozzle when you get the Zex kit. http://blackhaloracing.com/products-...-body-spacer6/

You may also want the bottle warmer.

I'm sure the BHR folks will chime in with other suggestions.

Since you want to buy your Zex kit from BHR you may want to know that they are the manufacturers of the ignition kit Huey mentioned as well

^ Go with the BHR spacer and nozzle. Don't get cheap right at the most critical juncture!

Every component is well described, to include its purpose, on the BHR website - one link to a customer.

I would recommend the Throttle Body spacer as opposed to drilling the rubber intake hose since it's more of a plug & play and you could remove the nitrous at a later date while leaving no evidence that it was there before. (hint hint)

bottle warmer helps maintain consistane performance, it's a great idea for those going Nitro

Yes, the BHR ignition system has been pictured and thoroughly discussed here in this forum. You can wait on it, although it would be nice to do all the under-hood work at one time. Why not save for awhile longer.

Again, I would recommend you do get the BHR spacer and nozzle when you buy the Zex kit from them.
