Yeah, I just forgot the camera. There is some progress to be photographed, as the engine and s/c have been installed in the test mule. Track time is September, at the Jamboree www.jamboree.com.au, later this month.
I have said before it won't be in an RX-8, but will be a Renesis with the said supercharger.
Cheers,
Hymee.

OK. Here is the first update for this week... The beginings of the custom fab intake manifold/plenum.

No, it is not an RX-8 body. It is a Renesis engine. This is a "mule" we will use to test the combo on the track.
Cheers,
Hymee

He hasn't named it yet. So far it's just "Hymee's Box."
It's the leftover box from the bottle of upscale rum he drinks.

Hymee - Are you sayin you are working on more than 1 SC?
Also, why are you using a test "Mule" instead of the 8, In this pic, you basicly have it already installed and this pic was from Jan.?

John,
That pic was a dry install to check packaging etc.
The test mule is prove things on the track before going to the expense of a full install on a near new car.
Also, on the mule we don't have anything related to do with the factory computer to contend with. Not saying it is a problem, but it removes one thing from the equation. Hence we will be in total control of the engine management system via a Motec stand-alone, and we will have a much more "pure" testing and data gathering environment.
And the mule is already set up well with "all the good stuff" underneath

Hymee Supercharger to be previewed at Jamboree
Hopefully the updates will come thick and fast now
We reached a decision point on the weekend, and it has altered our plans slightly. Slightly for the better
Due to the overwhelming sucess of the MoTeC R&D we did last week (https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=71299), we decided late Saturday afternoon to put the Blower in the RX-8. We felt we had more work and less time to get the "mule" on the road. And it wouldn't have been pointless taking it to the Jamboree unless we raced it.
So, we have started the install of the blower into the RX8
We will have it ready for the Jamboree, but we will display it rather than race it. It won't have had enough testing to race it just yet. And probably will only get on the Dyno on Friday.
It will be driven to and from the event, if all goes to plan, boosted and all!
It won't be complete, but it will proove we know what we are doing, and generate some interest
Cheers,
Hymee.

The dyno stuff on Friday will be a preliminary round of tests/tunes. It won't be in it's final state of tune on the weekend
However, I'm confident it will be pretty close by the nationals!
