I would think it is more likely no one is properly tuned yet.

Yeah, my car wasnt fully tuned and I was able to pull out 290whp@9-10psi then it stopped recording the dyno pull at 7k. So had it pulled all the way up I could have been at 300whp. Not to mention the AFR's were definitely in the 10's. So come the 11th of September, Kane will dyno tune my car.

/\ I prefer to sort out all my issues before I even hit the dyno . The g/s logs tell you a lot about what is working and what is not ....

Well actually the logs looked good even before the car hit the dyno. I was able to do pulls all the way up to 8k. But I believe the problem was the spark plugs, and not to mention the MAF was maxed out. So I am already getting a new 3.5 pipe being made by the time Kane gets here on the 11th. Also, the meth kit will be good to go.

I guess this needs a bump, right?

I hit up the dyno today. And just to clear the air before any sheets hit the ground, yes this was done a DynoJet. Get over it, I don't want any BS. I did 302-rwhp @9psi on a DynaPac that was calibrated like a Mustang (Long story, but I will tell it...) and on my first pull I did 301-rwhp @9.5psi with an extra 3400ft of elevation (SAE corrected).

So, with that outta the way....I LOVE TORQUE. Haha.

Also, my GReddy E-01 electronic boost controller was screwing up my life. I was adding more duty cycle to the solenoid for more boost and it was barely responding, and boost was falling on it's face by redline. The most I could hold over 8000rpm was around 9.5psi...

So by the end of my time on the dyno I was commanding 98% duty cycle of the controller and still only getting around 13.5psi...whereas 30% duty cycles gets me 9.5psi...WTF? Oh wellz

First pull:

317-rwhp and 287 ft-lbs of torque done at 10.5psi with slightly rich AFR. I put in a new Methonal cocktail in my water/meth kit so it was throwing my AFRs out of whack- I think this was run was OK with a steady 11.2 thru the range. Also apparently my knock sensor was picking up the noise from the rollers so it was pulling up to 10 degrees of timing!!!

Next run, the money run. Fixed some of the knock issues so timing wasn't getting pulled.

330rwhp and 326ft-lbs of torque @ 13.5psi!! Torque was just INSANE!!!! I couldn't believe it. The guy helping out on the dyno (who owns an FD) said it was crazy. The break-up in the graph is from wheelspin on the rollers, too, so I may have actually peaked a little higher if I had someone sitting in my trunk :D

That run was even richer than before, I had bumped up my MAF calibration to be safe and safe it twas- 10.2-10.8 AFRs steady in boost after 4psi. I know it also had to do with the extra meth in my tank I wasn't tuned for...

So there ya go- I was about 20-rwhp shy of what I wanted but damn I love that torque. On the street the car is a pure beast now pulling at the reins. Tire spin thru 1st, 2nd, and into 3rd. It was interesting tho, on the drive back home from the dyno on the highway, I goosed it to get past a Semi and hit 18psi!!! It felt like someone punched me in the gut. But I hit 13.6 AFR!!! Luckily the motor is ok, no detonation felt or heard (knock on wood). So I dunno about this boost controller.

Congratulations man - that is some mighty torque you made there .
You are haveing similar boost controller issues to what I have had .

That sounds similar to how I was describing 9 psi vs 12 psi on the 3071R. The car has massive acceleration at 12 compared to 9.

Yeah, just a few pounds of pressure difference and look at how fast the power shot up at 13.5psi. It's crazy.

Oh yeah Kane is drunk at a bar and bitching and said I need to give him some credit, LOL! I called him when I had an issue and he was able to let me onto the knock sensor pulling MASSIVE timing which helped me make some more power. Thanks again man!

Correction, the Pettit one is also uncorrected:

Totally uncorrected.
Oh yeah Bastage (just saw your post now going thru this thread again) I didn't notice that.

But also you guys are at more or less sea level, while Jeff did his pull at 1200+ft. I bet if Jeff's pull was SAE corrected it would have been an easy 325+
