Greddy Turbo Woes

*Note, I work 60 hours a week, have a dying mother i have to take care of, and im a full time student, so no, i didnt have time to search through the forums to see if this was already posted, so please dont give me **** for not looking.*

Ok, so here's the story. I have a 04 with the Greddy turbo kit, interceptor-X EMS, and Greddy exhaust. Lately, I've been having boost creep on really cold days. The engine has 32k miles on it, with the turbo being added at ~10k miles ago. I change my oil every 2.5k miles, and have never had any other major issues.

Ok, now the good stuff, the actual problem. I was driving home this afternoon, messing around, getting into boost. All of a sudden, as I was doing around 115mph, my boost drops to 2lbs. This immediately came across as a hose either being blown, or popped off, as it had happened before. I get home shortly afterwords, and let the car idle for a second, as I had smelled copious amounts of oil pulling in. I revved up the engine to see if it would boost, and it did, up to the normal 6lbs. I then notice the massive cloud of light blue tinted smoke and immediately shut off my car. I pop my hood, and after a few seconds I notice my air filter looks burned. At closer inspection I notice its a small patch of oil, and then notice a small pool of it in the opening of my BOV. At this point, I just stomped off and called a local rotary guy who said it was either a blown turbo, or a broken front oil seal.

Ok, after that long explanation, im wondering, what do all you wise and experienced rotorheads think is the problem?

rebuild your snail. if you dont have it, get a oil catch can in there too

SLOW THE HELL DOWN before someone else gets hurt.
I would typically bust your ***** on this too. But I am feeling unusually peaceful at the moment and will not make judgement, partly because of a lack of information. I have no problem with speed. What I get fired up about is people, people who are too stupid to be aware when the risk is greater or less given the cirumstances/conditions. I can't blindly ride you about it as I have regularly cruised in triple digits(mph) over the last year. This doesnt justify it, but I do choose when and where very carefully, and the conditions on the road where I drive lend it to being more acceptable risk than say, doing 120 on a 50mph 2 lane back here in the states. In other words, just think about what you're doing.

God I'm being nice, and wordy, must be the drugs again :P

You should get more than 10k miles from your turbo .

When you have got it rebuilt have a read of first post here ....
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-major-horsepower-upgrades-93/greddy-turbo-owners-thread-206160/
also : if you don't have a BOV it wont last long

and if your BOV is VTA it wont last long either - depending on the brand .

As far as the speed goes, I was doing that, for a short period of time, on a 4 lane road. I maybe passed 3 cars during the entirety of the speeding, and there was always at least a lane between me and those cars. Granted, not an excuse, just explaining that I wasn't being stupid about it. At least not too terribly much.
