Are there any major differences between greddy turbo from us or from japan??
The greddy dealer in Greece told me that the kits they sold are coming through Japan and suggested me not to take it from Us cause its different....???!!!!

I don't trust him but will i have any problems with the us greddy turbo on a Euro-spec rx8???

Has any one from Europe installed succesfully the turbo kit from Us???

I got the turbo kit from Greddy US a week ago, i will install it in 2 weeks. So if you can wait I can inform you how things are going.

But I think there will be no problems, only difference is in ECU/E-Manage. Jap version is calibrated for higher octane fuel than US version.
Someone correct me if i am wrong.

Did you have to buy anything besides the kit to get you started? Did it come with an intercooler?

The kit doesn't come with a bov I suggest getting a Type RS BOV an E-01 boost controler and the Greddy Catch can.

I have the Type-S on mine. IT's rated for low boost pressure (up to 16lbs I think). The Type-RS is for high boost. Both will work just fine with the Greddy Kit.

That depends on your definition of "just fine". Stock the RS does not have a recirculation fitting, but you may be able to find someone who makes a custom fitting. If you vent to the atmosphere it doesn't matter but if you want to recirculate there's an added hassle.

I have the Greddy Type S on mine. Also may want to look at the HKS SSV BOV, it is very good as well.

Greddy dealer in Greece told me that both work well with the kit but the rs in new...And off course it has bigger diameter....

I am very curious if the turbo will work with the revi good...I might think about making some custom tubing etc,to hold the revi cause the sponge filter in airinix is not better than the revi...

The blue piece on the type RS screws off and Greddy sells an adapter to be able to switch it to recirculating. I'm leaving mine to vent to atm.

I also had the type S but switched to the RS recently. Both work but the RS is alittle quieter. If anyone is looking for a type S BOV, I'm selling mine in the forsale section here.

Good luck trying to get the Revi in there. The greddy airnix filter is cheap. I switched it out with a universal k&n one. Pics here.
