Tuning isn't really that difficult IF you know the math behind it AND the way the stock PCM operates.
Guys like Team, MM, Kane, Kahn etc have an extensive knowledge of the system and some of them actually helped build the product you're using.
Why don't you just fly MM's *** to your place to get the job done? Get an engine from Mazmart and invest your money on MM's ticket instead of having to do it anyway, at a later date.

You could also just pm higgi or me to get a quote for a rebuilt engine and save some money on the engine\shipping to have more budget for MM's booze.

Btw the microtech is a piece of **** ecu with the resolution of a commodore 64. The race teams that didn't use a cobb had Bosch Motronic or equivalent ecus.
Maybe they would share their knowledge to help another rotor head ? I guess I am wrong to think that way... I would never let someone just blindly F their **** up especially if I could provide some guidance. UNLESS, I had my own tuning service ala MM, then is it would cost $$$ for my knowledge. lol

CONCLUSION TO THIS THREAD:

1.) Javier20b will rebuild Rotary_Redliner's motor
2.) Javier20b will prove to the world his tuning abilities/ or MM base map will be loaded back to car, and $150 in MM's pocket
3.) Rotary_Redliner will be happy and not have to create a thread like this again.

as far as cobb tuners go. they are fine for basic bolt ons. if you go forced induction you need to have a dyno tune not an email tune.. seen plenty of blown up STIs, speed 3s, turbo 8's blown up because they ran lean or had too much advance while they were waiting for an email to show up with their new tune.
"Oh sorry your car blew up, the Data log you sent me didn't show that 1.546 LAMDA at full boost at 8700 rpm" says the remote tuner. Im sure that he is a good tuner, but you can't account for all driving conditions.
.

Complete nonsense.

as far as tuning do little math and you can have a starting map...your right its not easy...but its fun......
More nonsense. And I highly doubt you have swapped hundreds of Renesis engines unless you are a dealer tech (which would explain a lot actually).

I didn't bring up tuning. The OP did, and you did claim to be a tuner (see above posts), you actually said it was easy. You jumped in defending javier20b's abilities without really knowing what his knowledge on the subject was.

Well he does work on RX8s all day. I wish I was him sometimes..And yes he has to fix the cars that people do mods and don’t really know what they are doing. Usually the conversation starts like...Well this guy in the RX8 forum told me to do this and change that.. if you get my drift

never said i am a tuner
do you need a hug?
I am a mazda master tech. Ive been with Mazda for about 10 years. ive seen a ton of botched rotary builds that make me want to cry...
Ive had mazda factory training on every engine they make
Ive been a rotary enthusiast for 15 years or so.I love Mazda...not every build is going to be perfect either...ive fixed stuff from PFS, pettit, rotary works....**** happens...this is what i do for a living, i love it, im good at it, not the best, but im good at it!...and since you are pointing fingers...you were bashing javier20b..saying somone is clueless and ignorant is bashing....never said it was easy "...your right its not easy..." is what i said.

Well that explains a lot.

So just to some things up. The OP is going to have someone who is not a tuner, tune his turbocharged RX-8. That sounds like a wonderful plan.

There is a difference. You have engine assemblers and engine builders.
