i did it's just everyone keeps saying they all use diferent size's like the 0.065 to 0.049 and 0.062 in the first page it said to use 0.050 I just wana be sure i use the right one i don't want it to be too small and kill the turbo under boost or be too big to where it blows the seals. I wana do it right the first time thus i need to learn to succeed were others have failed

as for the location i have read that the best place to put it would be at the turbo inlet or would it be beter at the brass tee fitting right befor the line going to the turbo

"The MazdaManiac GReddy Turbo Upgrade Kit includes...

... 6) An AN-3 oil inlet fitting with a .035" restrictor installed."

^ I just noticed this after checking out this thread. Is this a proper size for the upgraded kit? And does the ORIGINAL greddy kit come with a restrictor now? TY!

For those still looking to go with the N2O nozzle route, the part # for a ZEX 0.062" brass jet is NS6500T. $5.99 from my local speed shop.

The upgraded turbo does not use oil for cooling. It uses coolant to cool, so the oil is just to lubricate.

The greddy turbo uses oil to cool and lubricate. So you want less pressure, but you need oil flow. The two are in conflict with each other, so you end up with your turbo dying one way or another. Either by lack of cooling, or too much oil pressure.

That's why I've been telling all my friends who want to go greddy, to just buy the upgraded turbo up front. Buying it later just means headaches when you have to pull the greddy a year later because the seals are dying.

Here are videos of the difference in oil flow through a journal bearing turbo with and without an oil restrictor (just in case you were worried about the effect of restricting oil flow:

I'd rather bump this rather than explain to someone else. I think we should all try and bump informative threads that are dead.

Speaking of this, my ATP restrictor is leaking slightly. Cheap aluminum. I guess I will have to figure something else out.
