I'd guess the latter two. And I hope it was his thumb.

On another note, I want details on the kit

That would probably work.
I machine them for the 756021-1 compressor housing for packaging considerations.
The T04B is 3.25" inlet, which is still ok, but will require a stepped coupler to the 2.5" tube through the motor mount..

Anyone mind helping me understand the functional differences between the GTX3076R and the GTX3582R? Specfically as it relates to spool up, low end flow and top end flow?

Thank you.

Those are totally different form factors, so there is no direct comparison.

The GTX3076 is the smaller frame, similar to the 3071, but with a 4" inlet.
The 3682 has a larger turbine and compressor.

Well, lets consider the behavour of an RX8 with the two turbos. That should be directly comparable. Given near optimal tunes for each and neglecting effects due to the different manifolds, what would be the expected diffrences in the result. I.e., when would spool-up occur, when would maximum boost occur (when would the wg open,) what kind of flow would be expected at high rpm.

There are potential solutions to that issue. But that wasn't really what i was asking.

the answer you seek will not be found on an internet forum, not that there won't be any shortage of yammering and posturing over it

Kinda unrealistic parameters, but based on that they would function just as you would imagine they would.
If a 3071 spools at X RPM and produces Y flow, a 3076 will spool a bit later than X and make a bit more than Y.
A 3682 will spool even later and make even more.

Yeah, I figured that actual experience would be limited given the newness of the product, but informative and qualitiative posturing could still be benificial. Plus, their might be some hands on experience with the GT35 series.

If a 3071 spools at X RPM and produces Y flow, a 3076 will likely spool at X+Δx1 and flow a bit more than Y.
A 3682 will spool likely spool at at X+Δx2 and make even more.
Is it possible to theoretically determine Δx1and Δx2 given the turbine map provided by Garrett, and making the unrealistic assumptions stated? If no, why not.

Actual direct comparison of the compressor and turbine maps are the absolute best comparison of the potential performance of your choices.

3071R to 3071GTX

Hello from Greece! This is the first time that i write here. Please I would like to ask if it is possible to upgrade 3071R to 3071GTX by changing the compressor wheel.

I think that somewhere here i saw that it exist an upgrade kit for 3071R in order to be a GTX.

Thank you!

There are some companies that sell the "upgrade" for a gt35 turbo. Try to contact them as i'm not sure if they just change the compressor wheel or do other modifications to the order: Kit Upgrade Charge, upgrade GT35R in turbo kit to GTX35R : atpturbo.com

In my opinion it would be easier to sell the gt3071 and buy a gtx. Between the parts and labor costs you're going to spend about the same.
