uh oh... if this was done for those who used s2 fuel pump assembly in s1 ? would it matter? with and without aeromotive pump...

Is this normal or is the pump dying already?
My god! It has gotten so loud recently that at stoplights people look at me weird and after a while the loud noise gives me a headache.

The aeromotive 11141 - 340 is a drop-in, right? (not the 11142?)
What about the deatschwerks 200?

I have a stock engine, NA and only want a fuel pump that is reliable and not as loud as a jet engine...

Installed the Aeromtoive 11142, easy, reused the old sock, and had to replace the small black rubber gasket. The pump is so freaking quite compared the walbro. Checked pressures at 8 and 9 k, in the upper 50's and lower 60's. Hopefully the pump will be reliable for 60,000 miles!

What did you use for a gasket replacement?

has anyone seen any issues with the Aeromotive Fuel Pump or the Deatschwerks Performance 200 or 300 pump overwhelming the fuel pressure regulator causing constant fuel rotation and heating of the fuel? (on a F/I setup bigger injectors and S1 pump assembly)

Did you melt the pop off valve down on the siphon assy?

that's irrelevant to his question, ideally you could increase the resistor size on the low speed pump circuit to slow an oversize pump down more to prevent excessive bypassing during idle/cruise conditions

no, you might try to wire two OE ones in series (would double the resistance/voltage-drop), but you would have to test it and see if it is too much

otherwise try to keep the tank as full as possible to minimize it, but a number of people have used the pump straight up *without reporting* any issue, whether or not there is one might be open for interpretation

I had a problem with my Aeromotive pump yesterday after a 900km trip. The car suddenly stalled while crusing at 100km/hr.

The car started again after it cooled down 15 minutes later. However, the problem happened twice again until I got to my destination.

I noticed that the lid on the fuel pump was very hot to touch and the fuel tank itself was quite hot as well. Still not sure why the pump kept shutting down.

The next day the car started and ran fine and I drove 50 km without any issues. However, I left my car at a long term carpark and got a rental car. I will pick up my car on the return leg in 9 days time and hopefully drive home without issues.

It appears that I have to modify the siphoning to keep it cool.

You can cross reference to the Aeromotive 11142 to verify the inlet/outlet configuration and dimensions. It appears to be correct, but you will need to verify this for yourself. The DW200 is only rated 225 lph @ 60 psig outlet.

are there any advantages in running an aeromotive pump in the s1 assembly over running the s2 pump/assembly?

My BHR/Walbro unit is running strong after a couple of years, I rarely see pressures under 58psi and usually right at 60psi. And under boost I have not run into any lean conditions.

That's good to know, that's where I'm picking up my pump from too

That's exactly what I'm looking for 255 I just don't trust the walbro, it seams like to many people have issues with them

I got my Walbro fuel pump from BHR, 3 yrs ago (I think), after the second OEM pump failed. I haven't had any problems with it.
