there's an E-clip that holds that hose to the hard pipe of the oil cooler. did they take it out for the turbo install? shouldn't have been necessary. remove the e-clip, and see if you can push the line further in, and then put the clip back on.

or take it back to the shop that did your install, tell them to fix it, and tell them to top off your oil.

Good luck fixing the oil leak bro.
I actually had a friend of mine do the install for cheaper but it took about 2 weeks before i was driving it home due to minor setbacks along the install process.

it was actually leaking from the other end where the pipe connects to some sort of metal piece. at least thats where it definitely looked like it was coming from. there is nothing else above that where oil could be leaking that i can think of.

Im in the process of reading and researching ALOT about turbos right now.

No not there. If you look at the oil cooler it is leaking out of the bigger tube connecting to the oil cooler but not on the oil cooler end it's leaking at the other end of the pipe

I think you COULD.. But it may prove to be more difficult than you think. My mechanic ran into Many small problems along the way just making it take longer but if you are confident you can do it then I say go for it

I would send a picture but I just put all the pieces back on haha. I'm actually taking it to the Mazda dealership in the morning to have the new fuel pump put in so I'm going to have them fix the leak while I'm there

1) prepare to hear a price quote 10x's a fair amount (boost)
2) don't drive it there, you may lose all oil and not realize and die in the streets.

So you think they will try to charge me extra because of the turbo kit being in there? I don't know why they are such asses when it comes to that kinda stuff. I'm having the car towed there to be safe.

Agreed, Turbo 8's are not exactly install and forget about it machines and your gonna need some DIY experience or things could get too expensive...

Now that the service is nearly instant, I guess the price (practically free) is more palatable?

Dude - during the "terrible" times, for every complainer there were as many as one hundred other customers out there that were out-of-their-minds satisfied.

Honestly, with the way people are starting to abuse the new system, I think I may go back to the old method.
I can deal with 1 out of every 100 customers bitching and moaning.

So, in a word, STFU.

Jeff I find your new submission/calibration return system to be way more efficient and extremely convienient compared to the old method and applaud you for the time and effort you put into this community.... but no matter the situation somebody is always going to b!tch and complain

Dude--you can install a fuel pump yourself--its not hard and its an oppotunity to learn some skills?
Like Charles Hill told me years ago, " Dont be scared to work on the car". Pay s to be cautious, but a FP, you can do it.

I would do it but I dont have a lock ring tool to take it out. And also it needed to go to the dealership I wanted then to check out this oil leak that I noticed yesterday. It looks like it's coming from a line running to the oil cooler

Actually they'll charge you extra because it's an 8. Turbo even more. +1 on getting it hauled though. I'm sure you'll be fine in the long run. Just let us know if there are any issues.
