Fazdarx_8's Top Mount Turbo Build
I will be sure to do that, I am looking for .015" for the apex seal clearence right?
so I am looking at the
Gasket kit
Gasket O-ring kit
RX-7 apex seals (yet to be decided)
RX-7 Corner Seals
Lightly used housing
I am thinking about the oil pressure mod
and a built in quick spool valve

Just read through the entire thread man, sweet build and kudos for taking the initiative and building your own kit. Sorry about the engine damage though.
That said, I've got to ask an off topic question- what wheels are you running? They look stunning!

So Time for some updates
I got so involved that I didn't really take any pictures
after I got the rotors machined I cleaned them up and got all the carbon off.
all the rebuild parts had been trickling in over last week,
Atkins solid corner seals
Atkins thermal pallet
Pinapple racing oil pressure mod
Goopy rx7 apex seals
some minor porting on the exhaust side.
associated gaskets and O-rings
right now the short block is assembled on the engine stand, the block turns over and makes all the whooshing sounds.
so now its just getting the rest put on it then back in the car.

so I have been reading break in procedures and none of them specifie used bearings
the only think being broken in is the rotor seals, should I still only use dino oil for the break in?
is 200 miles enough ?

LoL, I did ask for pictures.... car looks goood, I painted my chrome lip, I also like your hood!
when you say prime the engine do you mean let the fuel pump gather enough pressure, and or let it crank over a few times to prime the oil system?

after all the priming, plugged the stuff back in and crank her over, she fired up and idled good! let her warm up, everything looks great, no drips or drops
so now I need to install the wheels and bumper and drive it
in other news I got my quick spool valve parts, I will try to assemble that tomorrow
feels pretty good, to have my first rotory build fire up!! with experimental mods!

yeah, I pulled out the ESP sensor, and pulled out the spark plugs, then cranked on it, the motor spins super easy this way to prime the oil system and build pressure!
thanks so much for the info guys!!
