Update: I got everything in order and I tried to start her up.

No go, flooded. It appears my old coils are too weak to start up the new tune. I killed my battery while trying to start it, it kept turning over and sputtering a bit of smoke but it never fully caught. No big deal since its a glass mat cell battery, drains don't hurt it. So I just need to buy a charger and let it sit overnight.

So now I'm going to deflood and try to get some new coils in there.

Everything else fit in perfectly, the intercooler silicone hoses were a tight fit and I needed to trim them a bit to get them to sit just right. Everything else lined up great, got my BOV installed, purfect! Just need to get some new coils and button her back up!

Dang, this is taking forever Good thing this isn't my only transportation choice

Seriously though, that manifold was perfectly made, the compressor inlet and outlet line up just perfectly with the other piping.

All the pipes are beaded so that the couplers won't slip off at high boost.

watch out, the fumes/gases emitted from charging a battery are flammable, make sure there is some kind of ventilation so it doesn't go boom.

It should bolt up the same. We'll do a bit of field research to make 100% sure but based on all the information we've researched it is the same.

It looks like I'm about a week out (yet again) I need to fix my oil plate, its leaking at just 20psi from cranking the engine. Once I start it its going to shoot all over the place since the cold psi is like 60.

At this point I'm going to have to recommend that those with mechanical oil temp gauges either
a)tap their oil pan for the temp.
b)buy various fittings to take a tee from the racing beat gauge pod.
Much less of a hassle and you gain valuable space in the oil filter area.

In leiu of buying new OEM coils that are just going to break on me and not give me enough juice to push past 330rwhp. I'm going to wire up my own MSD LS2 multistrike coils. http://www.msdignition.com/coil_8247.htm These are comparable to the Mazsport iginition solution (http://www.jegs.com/i/MSD/121/8232/10002/-1), MSD LS2 coils deliver >300mA per spark.

Downside is they cost a bit over $100 each, and at this point you have to cut your OEM wires off to splice them in. http://roblinstores.com/cables/index...&products_id=6

Eh, I hope I don't get flamed too hard for these question but here goes.

Seeing as the turbo kit has a 500 mile break in period is it at all possible to safely run the kit off the stock ECU?
I'm currently waiting for my INT-x to come which should be another 2 - 3 weeks and I figured if it possible to run the kit on the stock ECU I would just use that as the break in period seeing as I wouldn't be beating on it.

If I can't run it on the stock ECU what are the other things I can start to do besides running a compression test, fuel pump, and wiring gauges?

Also what spark plugs should I run with this kit?

Thanks in advance for the help

Edit: Congrats static! Dyno & Videos

static,
my mechanic just installed the oil temps in my car(AEM oil temp), and he tapped it on the oil cooler BOLT. the is a big bolt on the oil coooler, and we just drilled the bolt, and tap the sensor on it. i don't know, because my mechanic say that it's dangerous to put it on the oil pan....he did that way, so i don't have to unplug and plug back in. it stays there as long as it stays....

I would run 4 stock trailing plugs for best performance.

In theory you might be able to get away with running off the stock ECU but I wouldn't chance it. 2-3 weeks is a short time in comparison to rebuilding an engine.

Hmm,

clear corner install = .2
exhaust install = 1

intake install = 2

radiator install = 3-4

clutch/flywheel install = 5

this turbo install (replace injectors, fuel pump, and install manifold and other stuff) = 7

rebuild engine = 10
rebuild tranny = 9
rebuild rear diff = 9

Considering you dont change the fuel pump (at least I don't remember) and you use a water-air intercooler that just bolts in front of the A/C condenser instead of fitting and running intercooler piping, and you don't have to remove the engine mounts and squeeze a new manifold in there. Maybe supercharger is a 5 or 6

Thought I would contribute a bit here too. For those who are trying to remove the ring around the fuel pump. If you have access to a Mac Tools dealer they have a tool for about 25$ I bought one and am still unsure to if it works yet, but heres the item number. FP940 Fuel Pump Removal Tool.

It is in this months flyer that could be found on mactools.com, page 23 top right corner of page.

I'm sure you can find the tool from a local automotive tools shop. Pep boys? (Sry i'm canadian )

Ok, so here is the thing...the Cobb accessport looks sweet....do you think this will work better for this turbo kit or do you think the INT-X is the way to go? Any thoughts anyone?

I have the Accessport, which i reallly, really want to run with this turbo. however MM said blowthrough will max out the MAF too quickily which means less power. I PM'd Chris about this and am waiting to hear from him, but from what i have gathered, we will need to run MAP to get the power most of us want, using this blowthrough setup.

honestly, i've been going through this decision for a while, and it could push me in either direction right now. i'd hate to have to decide between keeping the AP or the Esmeril.
