changed brand new OEM coils today and problem exist. the car is still misfiring when full throttle, but no more CEL stays on, it only blinks and off.

if thats the case, would it be the spark plugs problem? it shouldn't be vacuum leak since my idle is fine right?

any input will work
thanks

The blinking CEL means misfire. It could not hurt to double check that your spark plug wires are on tight and to replace your spark plugs. If your coils were bad that means your spark plugs were not working properly. If you want better coils get the BHR kit.

If you had it in the body shop you might want to check your eccentric shaft sensor.

It is a magnet...and body shops have lots of metal bits and shavings, small screws etc floating around. The sensor doesn't work well with metallic bits on it...

It is what tells your ECU when to fire the spark

BTW, the reason most aftermarket companies cite h.p. increases in their product promotion is because it is the easiest number to "doctor up" and, in most cases, h.p. increases have little/nothing directly to do with the product they are offering.

I can tell you with certainty that the previously-mentioned benefits of the BHR Ignition System will be realized and if you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase I will give you a 100% refund if the kit is returned in useable condition.

We have well over 200 kits in the field and not one has been refunded due to poor engineering or poor performance.

Lol, I believe you and what you said was completely correct, makes sense. The benefit of gaining HP from the ignition upgrade is a defenite plus but I would rather have a better idle and a smooth climb through the rpms which this kit does because I've seen 8's with it and it seems pretty impressive but I gotta get some more money because of my recently ordered coilovers and sways/traction bars etc.

can you please locate the eccentric shaft sensor for me?
thanks

i'll change the spark plugs as well, should i change the wires too?

my car has been in the shop for 5 month, so with all the on and off with my motor i believe there were a lot of carbon built up.

after car being good for a while, now my car is misfiring again! it said cylinder 2 misfire! tired resetting eccentric shaft sensor, still the same!
i have already swapped out the ignition coils, so now would it be the spark plugs and wires?
my friend said it might be the injectors too, would that be the problem?

Any chance the intake is loose or was taken off?
that's easy- they flooded it.

both of the guys with misfire should pull the plugs and see if they are fouled clean them. also clean the MAF and do the 20 break stomp reset. then check that the e-shaft sensor is clean.

then worry about coils

The brake stomp never worked for me...I get no CEL so I dont think it's a misfire, having the A/C on or off does not change my shaky idle, the MAF is brand spankin new (it better be, I waited a week for it from Mazda), my connections are all solid, my throttle body is clean, short of taking the car to the stealership, I have tried everything I have seen (oh, I also haven't dropped $500 on the BHR ignition but I sincerely doubt its my plugs/wires/coils at this point). Any more ideas or anything I may have missed? I don't feel a loss in power that many others have been feeling, just a shaky/low/varying idle...

How the hell would injectors be causing it? Do you have any clue what you are talking about?

First problem is your engine management setup, you need to get a proper MAF tube and the Cobb AP.

Secondly if you're misifiring in boost you NEED new, stronger ignition coils or plug wires. Or something is wrong with your tune

Read around here- you have been spoon feed info in this thread yet you still don't get it.

He still has the stock GReddy MAF pipe so I hope he doesn't have Jeff's AP service.

I'm just annoyed that he has to ask the same questions over and over and over again. Eric spoon feed him the info multiple times. Figure it out people.

Which is exactly why I suggested the first he does is get a his MAF tube sorted properly, otherwise he is just shooting in the dark

thanks for all the opinions, but im almost positive that its not the intake issue.
it happen 2 weeks ago, and it fixed it by resetting the eccentric shaft sensor.
but then now it happens again and resetting the eccentric shaft sensor doesn't help.
Since I am noticing a hard start....like crack up to 6 secs before car starts, i think it could be the plugs flooded.

thanks for all you guys' help, i really appreciate tho.

I really am no mechanical expert, i would even say i suck at it. but I am good with wheel and tires fitment.
