Speedsource uses a Dynotorque chassis dyno. Since you keep throwing this number out lately maybe you can share how it's output figures correlate with Mustang, Dynojet, etc.?
and it's the Renesis exhaust port area that's 2x over the 13B, not volume. There are two side ports as compared to a single P port, though the siamese aspect of the inside ports clouds the issue some. They don't open until later in the exhaust timing than a P-port allowing for a longer exhaust expansion work cycle.

p.s.I do agree with you for N/A
Possibly with and without your intake manifold
This to give a more accurate idea of what a common user could get out of your kit + bridgeport.
@rotarygod: don't you believe that a p-port could need a bit more header study to go past the 230 whp mark? I wonder at what point the exhaust port become a restriction with intake side porting\bridging

I am currently working on an issue of one of my fuel pumps going bad...I then found out that according to the markings on it...its actually a knockoff of a Bosch -044 and not an original even though it was sold to me that way. I am working on getting a full refund....I bought them over 9 months ago but it only has about 5-6k....the pump is supposed to last for years not months.
That and the fact that my wires to the trunk are not enough and are causing the car to be harder to start.

Diesel oil has a lot more detergent properties than regular gas engine oils. They are designed to remove build up of carbon in the diesel.
Some people say that the use of diesel engine oil is not good for a gasoline powered engine. Some reports of compression loss due to the detergents in diesel engine oil have been reported.

separate thread for the diesel oil discussion ?
sounds the same as what happened to some older cars that use sea foam to find out it undid the carbon that was keeping their cars from leaking

Hi All
long since ive been on due to work,
see Chris has also done it but with turbo,
mine now has 8500kms done after the rebuild / porting, just to compare,
my porting is basically the same except my bridge port itself is a bit closer to the standard port otherwise exhaust and rest thje same, but i did the primaries as well in same way.
we also had the same idling problem, but with the mechanical adjuster it worked fine,
mine also idles at 1250 to 1300 rpm. (but no turbo and standard ecu)
also got the problem of idling going down at times to try to get it to idle low, it battles and very uneven, wants to die, just give it a rev and its normal again
I had a problem with my fuel pump and did replace it with aftermarket Walbro, which can give over 6 bar pressure and 255L/Minute fuel, higher than standard,
we pulled canister apart and replaced the pump alone, cleaned everything and problem was solved.
i know i didnt post anything more on dyno etc, but work is a lot now and cash flow still low,
when ready i will send it to all,
good job Chris,
Philip

probably not---i was think about the volume of ethanol being injected at crank--wondered if that was or even could be a thing to think about.
The big intake shouldn't be a problem either--we guys with the pettit kit have that much air space when you count the a/w intercooler etc.
Just time to go down the check list?
This sure is a cool set up. Like the attention/thoughts about addressing the exhaust port.
Chris --some of us in the Ga Rx9 club ---with literally, combined, over 10,000 track miles in the 8--have made a switch to diesel oil--like valvoline blue 15/40. One member has job responsibilities for maintaining approx 100 engines throughout his company. These engines almost run constantly. They do a lot of oil studies. After a good bit of oil analysis it was easily seen that the deisal oil was the best--by a good margin. It is cat friendly, low ash(lower than synthetic) high particle suspension properties and holds its viscosity 50% better than automotive motor oil. Runs much cleaner--he has pics of the engines teardowns. His research shows that the detergents present in this oil is not harmful to an automotive engine. And--this just makes sense.
You may want to look into this.
Heck even Rick Ingram speaks highly of diesel oil in a rotary engine.

I suppose he means Rick Engman?too much carbon, too little carbon - make up your mind ....

Well, I am one of the lucky few that got to sit in Chris's car. The thing sounds awesome and mean as hell. I also got to see his new set up and it is one of a kind. He hasn't got the car fully tune yet with the E85 but he gave me a few boosted run and it is very very fast. I can't imagine how fast it would be when it is fully tuned.

Here is a small video (cell phone quality :P) of the car idling from the outside. This is about 1400rpm and there was outside noise so it kinda sucks. I will post a new video as soon as I can get my hands on a good camera.

I will be replacing a few things this weekend (fuel pump, Extra exhaust mount) and installing an exhaust "noise control valve". By the end of next week I should have something for you guys...
Sorry its taken so long...I have been working too much on this:

hehe....gotta get some reigns for the horses

Not to be mean or anything - I think your car is awesome - but the title of your video saying "BRAP BRAP BRAP" is kind of misleading. Your car doesn't really brap

Well...it was recorded with a cellphone next to a noisy street....I debated posting the video due to the fact that it sucked so bad... The car does Brap quite noticeably in person. Not like an open exhaust Peripheral ported 13b like in your video (obviously, lol
) but definitely like the ones in these video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYc1T...eature=related

A bridgeport "brap" is never to be compared or confused with a Peripheral Ported engine (in the video you posted, hence why it says "PP" in the subject box) which is way more pronounced and will not idle under 1500rpm without issues or be able to have a running A/C at idle because it will shut the motor off.
Its a half bridge and not only that, its a renesis which will always have a quieter exhaust compared to an older engine because of the exhaust port geometry. It has a full 4" exhaust with resonator which takes the raspiness out of the exhaust tone. I will record a video with a real camera so the brap can be heard better...
Chris
