220rwhp is the final figure. We could of probably got more but outright hp is not what I am after. So with all my mods I have gained approx 80rwhp over a standard car. I am happy with that .

A standard car with a freshly rebuild engine and a good catalytic converter can dyno around 200hp... You just gained what a decent engine gains with a bunch of NA mods...

If that's what you think then believe that. In Australia, on my engine builders dyno they dyno standard around 130-140rwhp give or take. I know every dyno reads different, but in comparison to other rx8s that have dyno'd by tuner, I have gained approx 80rwhp over a standard car.

It's not what I believe... it is what it is. When you have a dyno and know the engine's VE\efficiency etc it's easy to get an accurate estimate from the dyno and the amount of air being pulled.

Since you're right saying that each dyno reads different let me restate... I doubt that your results are only due to the bridgeport. Part of them are a consequence of having a fresh engine in your car.

At the end of the day it's just a number, a tunning tool, over here is Oz our dynos will always read lower in comparison to american dynos.

Good results none the less

We have a saying here in Oz. We don't have Hollywood dynos. They are generally heart brakers. To give you guys an idea of BP figures here in aus, all out full cut race bridgeports for circuit racing generally make about 250rwhp. That's from the best builders. Street bp's, the most are around 200-220rwhp for the top runners but most dyno 180-200rwhp. So for me to make 220rwhp with only a secondary Bridgeport I am very happy!!!! I'm not sure how those figures compare to US dynos but I've seen 300rwhp graphs for bp's from the states, people would laugh at you if you got those figures on pump fuel. All figures quoted above are oz 98 (us 93) Ron pump figures. E85 would yield more again.

E85 would yield less on a NA car.
Us dynos are generally a bit lower than what we see here in europe because of their crappy ethanol rich gas anyway.

Dynos are only good to determine the powerband anyway and help with tuning. Numbers are good for bar talks after that.

I'd say 180-190 is more the norm for a typical NA with or without mods. Not many make it to 200+.

My butt dyno could produce those numbers, just had it calibrated and have all the graphs to prove it.

We knew from Speedsource by SS6 that the stock Renesis ports could flow enough to make 230 rwhp. I see that, as predicted, nothing has advanced since then. Facepalm indeed.

LOL pretty much. The NA Renesis is all but ignored. I don't think we'll see any advancements before a 16x car is released. It's almost cheaper to swap in an REW at this point than deal with the Renesis...

it would be better to say it has limited potential that was reached quickly

once you are up against the wall you can either choose to ignore it or bang your head continuously against it ... unless some will produce housings with better port capabilities it is what it is
