So .......................... why do you think it sees 5v as a fault then ?

Surely the fact i hit 5v and saw 410g/s is enough to say it isn't ?

Well not that it is a fault maybe more of a default, but I am thinking that when you exceed 5 volts it will calc based on max load tables. That's the only explanation I can see for Farza's high g/sec log.

When I was playing with the MAX load tables and the MAF was unplugged I was seeing g/sec as high as in the 400-500 range with Max calc load at 2 and Bario load at 1.5

I didn't see the log from Fazda you are talking about but what i am thinking from from the tests you and I have done is that unplugging the maf leads to the max calc load map being used but maxing the maf doesn't .

In slash128's thread farza had a 550+- g/sec log when he was only scaled for 400 g/sec.

I could see it hitting 5v and sitting at whatever you have set for max, but with farza's going over his scale then it has to calculate it some way. So either the computer is getting more than 5v, or it has to default to calculating the load.

My MAF scale at the time didn't exceed 430ish.

note the rpm and g/s of the first run, and the second one.

my calc load max tables where limited to 213% load as well.

this leads me to think that having a calc max load is probably a good, If I did not have a limit the car would have seen 300% load or more. I am not sure what the fuel and timing maps would do with that big a discrepancy.

the reasons I beleived this happend
it was raining and my maf got wet, so in order for the maf to get the hot wire hot, it went to 5volts etc.

"APV YO " LOL

yeah - that does look like those numbers are being made up by the ECU .

The good part about that is I can feel more relaxed about maxing out the maf again . Midpipe is on . Will pick nice cold morning and see what happens.

Here we go ,ambient temp this morning 12C so nice and cool .... all charts are vs RPM to avoid confusion .

Maf voltage maxed and straight lined at 5V , last 4 data points . So there is little doubt that it would have gone past 5V if that were not the limit . AFR chart (not shown) is pegged at 11.1.

G/S setting on maf scale at 5V was 413 . Chart shows 412.52 but last number drops to 408 @ 5V for some reason .

Load chart - max calc load chart is at 220% with 1.5 baro correction so 330% theoretical max.

And just for fun ...virtual dyno (no correction factor )

That's it at the top end ................unless I go with more freeeflow rear muffler .Maybe could keep raising boost earlier as well . LOL

Trying to organize a dyno at same time as a mate with a 5-600whp rx7 . He says the dyno he uses gives "realistic" numbers - maybe a early as next weekend .

looks fantastic, surly I was hoping your g/s would increase too, but it appears to be flatlined.
Great job man it looks great!!!

no pings and solid timing?

Thanks .
No pings - timing stays as per the map - except at 3500 like it always does.

Thinking i might just make the 5V number on the maf scale a bit higher to give me a little safety factor .

Why don't you have a larger maf housing?

That's one option . Not sure that I need to bother as It's not far enough past 5V to warrant doing anything about it. I will just program in a little cushion at this stage.

I am very curious to see your dyno results, looking great! It will also be interesting to see real vs VD. It will be a data point for relative comparison.

Last real dyno i had matched pretty exactly with VD at 360 (uncorrected) . But that dyno proved optimistic with NA cars on the same day making 35 ish too much .
I expect to see somewhere around 360 and above after all the latest changes

g/s are up about 40-50
and VD is up 40-50 as well .

No date on the dyno as yet though.
