I will be getting my turbo, I will not live with out a turbo on my rotary. 6 months max, sooner *when* I sell my investment property real fast. I wouldn't keep this car if I was never gonna put a turbo on it.

You'll never be a 1/4 mi queen without big, fat slicks on the rear tires. Even with my ported Renesis & GReddy sh*t-kit, I break loose on the 1/2 shift every time, the 2/3 shift most of the time, and have to feather like a **** to hook up when I launch it.

It must be absolutely comical trying to launch it and keep traction with a lot more than 300 WHP and street tires.

Definitley not a straight line car.

I have to launch at 3500, anything higher and it wheel hops all the way through 1st gear. I started messing with power shifting it on the street and it wheel hops even hitting 3rd gear. It needs a fully adjustable suspension so I can lighten up the front end and stiffen up the rear, and it will still probably hop. If its this bad with my tiny 189 rwhp 136 tq I can't imagine 340 hp

I think you ought to start reading up in the "Wheels, Tires, Brakes & Suspension" People who have been having your problems have made headway with the suspension. Maybe upgrade you suspension before you FI.

EDIT: Made my point, deleted this paragraph.

Damn it, that's it I'm done talking about other kits in RP's thread. Sorry RP.

Good luck!

Would an upgraded rear diff alleviate this problem?

OK, someone bring a good video camera to SSX and we will make a sound video on Fri night.

I do have a movie camera but they don't make film anymore.

So, while you were filming Charlie Chaplin, did your arm ever get tired from all that cranking?

Someone say camera? Video? Yes I'll take up the offer.
Anyone who was in the SS9 socal caravan last year, or has been to the LAX meets, and especially who went to the rx-8 socal dyno day will attest that I'd be happy to take video(s). ^.^ And now that my file formats work on youtube there's no stopping me MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Hey, don't knock Chuck, he was still making babies in his late '60's.
Before Viagra.
Makes him a hero to guys like me.

And I had lots of upper body strength back then from starting my car.

No wheel hop here. I have HKS hypermax II coilovers with front and rear racing beat sways. Those killed all the wheel hop. I later went to 19x265's in the rear and still have no wheel hop.

The back end of the car is simply setup to soft.

I'm just tired of screwing with rotarys.
Solved all the problems by swaping in a small block Chevy with Latham Supercharger and a carb.
Everything now is simple and FAST.

Just kidding. It's my 928 after I made a good car out of it.
Double the HP and Tq. That's what was needed.
I bought it new and it had 9000 mi on it when I could no longer take it.
Turboed the Porche engine but it blew a cyld wall and they wanted $5000 for a bare block. Screw them!
First I put a NA 383 in it then when I started to build the Latham blower I used it for a test car with a 350 LT.
Lots of magazine coverage on that baby.
I put another 40,000 on it before it was sold to one happy guy.

Where were you in '68? Yes that is me as a kid with a blown BBC in an Avanti.
I've been doing this stuff for awhile now. V8 in an Rx8? I don't know yet.

So, for my next act I will put a Merlin into a Mini Cooper.

Then just so I can die happy I will put a pair of GE 90's on a Lear 35.

I want to test fly that so long as I don't have to do a V1 cut at rated power.

+1 on a video camera. RP PM me if you still need a camera and we can meet up Friday night and do some video. Heck we could all take a bunch of shots and someone could edit it all together. Thinking inside and outside driveby shots. I'd be more than excited to help out. It records onto digital tape but I have some RCA out cables we can use to run it to someone's computer or VHS player etc so we can get it on youtube or an electronic format.
