Have you guys heard of the new Jackson Racing Rotex superchargers? Supposed to be some sort of breakthrough...don't know enough about blowers to understand why.

Rotex isn't something new, it's not jackson's design, it's rotex (which is a company) HKS uses a Rotex supercharger.

Basically the main advantage is they are compact, and if you go to the rotex website you will see how they are advantageous compared to the traditional centrifugal supercharger type.

bump

The car is/has been at COBB by now hasnt it? not really expecting too much info, just an update if they're working on it and if there have been any issues that are slowing things down at all. Just wondering cause both COBB and this thread have shown no indication about this project recently and it was my understanding that COBB had received the car. Keep up the good work! Hopefully I can buy one of these sometime when they're released.

I'm at page 101. You gotta change your setting to 50 posts per page.

RP was at SS last year, I would imagine he'll be there again

^ Nah he's just in his shop fitting an AF TC to his cat. Poor Kitty, will need bigger paws to keep traction.

What and more importantly when is this SS?

Jet powered rats? so does that mean we'll have to make rocket propelled cheese as well?

Its Rotrex (not "Rotex") and HKS has canceled their deal with them.
This is why they aren't making the RX-8 SC at the moment because they needed to concentrate their energy on updating the VQ kits with their new, in-house SC design.

why would you want a centrifugal supercharger anyway? worst aspects of a turbo combined with the worst aspects of a supercharger - nice and small, but thats about it.

I know I've been ignoring you guys for a few months now but I've had to do something real kinky, work. I don't like it either, but the bank does.

We will be at SS and have some good stuff to show off. I'll have to go back and read all the posts to see if there are any questions that need answers.
The shop is almost available to make parts for me next week.
They just had to finish a run of 185 shifters last week and there are a few left to complete.

There will e a new "Competition Shifter" at SS. This is a race only unit and if you compete on the track and have it you're going to slow.

Picture?????///// An axial blown rotary!!! Almost 20 years ago a custom Latham.
The things I've done in my life that I've forgotten about is begining to scare me.
