If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

Rotary Car Club forums had a good thread on the costs. Expect to pay from $15,000 for a budget install (and probably optimistically low price) to $30,000 for full-on with turbo.

I still think it would be cool, and I would seriously consider it when my new RX-8 is paid off, if it's in any way of a possibility in 4.5 years. I can't think of any $50,000 to $60,000 car I would rather have than a 500 to 600 hp RX-8 with a turbocharged 20b. I'd even be happy with a 375 hp NA version (costing a bit less).

Then again, it would probably be more sensible to simply do FI on the RENESIS, if it's ever available for the Series II.

the increase in power will change the car so much you will not even think you are driving the rx8. One thing that makes this car so smooth IS it's power level and small displacement engine. Thats not a bad thing it is just something people overlook at times. Put more than 300hp on this chassis and it is a different animal. i damn good animal and a damn good looking car, however it is not the same.
I would suggest FI the renasis 1st.
