In socal?!? or am I missing something? There's people who do it around here..... my roommate drove his 400+ whp GTO all last winter without troubles... the torque is where it'll get ya though.... I had my 8 out in the snow just before I parked it this winter and had no issues other than scraping bottom everywhere

Lol!
Thx.
Been having too much fun driving it around, funny how many people out there (@ least in my neighborhood of douchebag AMG's, M3's, IS-F's, et al.) still have the ***** to rev people up on the street only to have their asses handed to them (2nd gear and on )...street racing is alive and well in suburbia!
Seriously contemplating tearing it down though over the holidays and square away the bs side seal issue...emptying catch can every other day is not cool...we'll see...

^i can vouch for the said douchebags in ur area . Seriously though someone in your area thought I had gone boosted (i use to go to school out there) they had seen your car. They describe it as "Well I know it was a blue RX8 and it wasnt fast, it was ******* Fast." I thought to myself "a ******* Fast boosted 8?, yeah right" But forgot about ur Wb8

I'm actually running a Godspeed unit (31x12x4), intake temps have never been an issue.
*But*...every setup is different of course so I can't "officially" vouch for these quite yet.

I dont understand why the numbers cant be posted?? Its just numbers, its not like you lose anything by saying what they were. Especially since he was dailing in the tune. But thats just my opinion. Maybe im the odd one.

Judging from your remedial spelling and grammar, you're the one who should "probably" be "too" "embarrassed" for posting this.

nice...if you use GT42 and never have problem with temp, then, it's good then.
what i am looking for is the person who is using the brand (godspeed), and tell me that he has no problem...

thank you man

^ Doesnt a larger turbo produce lower intake temps than a smaller at the same psi though? What I'm saying is that because this intercooler works well for him doesnt mean it will work well with a smaller turbo that could potentially be pushing hotter air

Rebuild in progress, want to fix those side seals before I end up having to replace rotor housings, etc. Somewhat concerned that my porting may have been the reason for the side seal failure in the first place and that I'll have to replace side housings...

I don't see how you will avoid this as long as you continue to use the side port configuration, the entrance area just isn't designed to handle that much heat loading
