Have you thought about drilling some holes in the top of your golve box and zip tying a sleave for the ipod to it? There's about a million different cases and I'm sure you could find one that's open at the top so you could just slide the Ipod into it. Just a thought.

Also, you could get the soft Ipod mount from proclipusa.com and screw that directly into the roof of your glove box.

Turn on the car, turn you steering wheel full right then full left. Turn off car. Restart car.

You've now reset your DSC. It will always happen when you disconnect the battery.

I kinda feel dumb now cuz I just did something similar to that this morning and it fixed itself. I thought I had bumped some wires while yanking the HU out and freaked a lil. Crisis adverted! The unit is a total plus and I already love it. Everyone needs one so they can throw out their CD's!

quick question and there's too many pages in this thread for me to sift through. I have the non-Bose HU, but I do have the in-dash 6CD changer AND the cassette deck installed. Would Audio Link work w/ my HU? My HU version is 9.67 so that meets the version requirement.

How many folders can the USB version read?
I put 10 folders named cd01-cd10 and I can select up to 6.
Is there any problem with my files or the USB version can read only 6 folders?

OK so I guess I'll just have to put the songs in these 6 folders.
Something else, if I'm not mistaken the usb version is only capable reading 99 tracks per folder?
If this is true then it means that I can only play 6X99=594 songs?

Thanks

I'm having problems with my AudioLink. I just emailed therpmstore through their website. Is there someone else I could contact? I tried looking for a manufacturer web site but I couldn't find anything.

Also, once I get my problems sorted out, i have another question. Is there a way the box can be configured so that any sound through the analog input mutes (and possibly pause the ipod)? I can never heard anything my Garmin navigation says. Plus it has a handsfree bluetooth setup that would be great to use if it could actually hear me, and i could actually hear it.

Is AudioLinkCanada.com going to get an updated price soon? The Canadian dollor is on par with the USD as of last Friday. It's almost to the point were it's cheaper to use the TheRPMStore.com and eat the customs cost.

I want the USB one but until it can read more than 6 folders/600 songs
I have thousands of mp3s.
Bought 40gb portable usb hds for 19 bucks
the 120gbs are on sale a BB for less than 70 bucks
$25 if you can find them.
But they are too large for this linky thing.

Anyone want to trade a mp3 dash unit for a 6 cd changer unit?

I tried to find the answer to this in this thread, but there are too many pages! I'm wondering if, by installing this device, would the CD player become non-functional? From what I've read in the description on the RPM website, it seems as this is so.

So, if I install this in my RX-8, would I only be able to play through the device and not any regular CD's?

Thanks!

No...it attaches to an input on the back for a second 6 disc changer. It is really weird and doesn't make sense to me...but that is how it is.

Sorry, Devilboi, I'm confused: so, it IS possible to play regular CD's AND use the device for external MP3's? (Of course, not both at exactly the same time...)

Thanks in advance for the clarification.
