Where is the ground strap bolted?
Where is the ground strap bolted?
I'm trying to measure the wire lengths in my engine for a "big three upgrade". The battery positive to alternator and battery negative to engine block are no-brainers, but I'm having trouble locating the stock engine block to chassis cable. I thought it would continue from the same point where the battery negative to engine block cable terminated, but I don't see it there. Any instruction/pics would be appreciated.
EDIT: Okay, on my latest search, I think I may have found the culprit. I'll attach some pictures, and if anyone would be willing to simply confirm whether I've identified it, that would be super.

Thats where I put my Ground, from the lower intake manifold to the chassis. Lurch519 did a good DIY for a grounding kit. You should look in there, that is what I based mine off of.
yeah, thats it. My grounding kit hits all kinds of different grounding points. Not sure how much benefit I see from all that 4 gauge running around the engine bay, but it sure looks shiny.

You should use some black shrink-wrap on the ones that run to the negative terminal - Some dealermonkey or AAARoadGuy will boost you in reverse and blow up your ECU, and then blame the whole thing on you.....
Hear me now, and believe me later.

I have TWO of those cables to each ground point, but BLACK at the battery!

You make a good point stealth, and since the terminal is covered by the battery lid, I think I can stoop to ruining the color scheme to prevent someone from being an idiot.
I happen to like the idea of all red wires. Keeps people on their toes.
