I was interested in getting a Radar Detector.. Has any1 installed
the one made by Escort... I heard the SR7 with ZR3 model of escorts custom radar install is pretty good ...

Good detecttors to consider are the Valentine 1's, Escort brand Passport 8500 and Solo2 cordless, and the Bel 9000 series. For good tests, check out http://www.radartest.com

Valentine One with software 1.8. Period

 

I have a Bel RX75 stealth installed in the front on the air dam with the remote readout where the ashtray used to be. The laser jammers are also attached to the air dam as well as the license plate in the rear. I have been very pleased with its performance, as the location does not provide maximum coverage (it is sensitive enough to pick up signals from behind, although the might not be as strong as you would hope). When the ashtray cover is closed, there is no way to tell that a radar detector is in the car.
