waiting for my infinity speakers is killing me!!!! =(

just wanted to vent a little steam... i am waiting for ups to bring my speakers and the wait is killing me! sad thing is i dont think all the parts are going to be here in time.. i'm looking at next friday for the last part to arrive =(

What i am waiting for:
Infinity Kappa 60.7cs component speakers (ebay) to replace the fronts
Amp Wire Kit (ebay)
Subwoofer grill (ebay)

What i already have:

Infinity Reference 9612i (ebay) Replace rear speakers
Infinity Perfect 10.1 Subwoofer (ebay)
Profile AP600 (ebay) Amp for the sub
Scosche SLC4 Speaker to RCA (crutchfield) LOC
Sub box i am building myself.. will post pics when i'm done

I LOVE infinity speakers. I installed kappa components for the front of my 2001 civic (which I gave to my little brother) and hooked it up to a sony amp, put some B.S. kenwood 6 1/2 3 ways for the rear and an alpine 12 inch type-r sub and man does the music sound good. Every once in a while.. i still drive the civic around and i missed the sound quality soooo much that i just broke down during christmas and splurged on upgrading the rx8 speakers.

I figured i def need component kappas for the front. Angle mounting tweeters is HUGE in my opinion and plus i loved the kappas in my old civic so i just went with infinitys again. reason i didn't go with kapps or even 3-ways for the rear is because i'm sure that the 2-way 6X9 reference will be able to do the job just fine. If the POS kenwood in my old civic did its job, i'm sure the reference will be able to also. For picking the sub, i chose to just go with 10 inch because trunk space is REAL important to me. hope the 10" infinity sub can give me the sound i want. mind you... eventhough i had a 12 inch sub in my old civic... i'm not the type of person that wants to be heard comming down the block.. i jsut want it to sound good inside.. i could care less how it sounds outside my car =)

MAN!!! I CANT WAIT TO START THIS LITTLE UPGRADE PROJECT!

Infinitys rock, I replaced my 6x9 in my 8 with infinitys and all of my home stereo speakers are Infinitys. I would like to know how the sub works for you, I might do the same. Surprising that the 6x9 put out some good base, not like a sub would but they do really well on their own.

The 10.1 Kappa Perfect is a great subwoofer (at least for me). It gives the bass I was looking for and I only drive it with a 200W RMS amp channel.

What kind of infinitys did you use for your 6X9's? i've been reading up on as much material as i could about replacing speakers on our 8's. One guy said that the infinity 6X9 wont fit in the back... and he had to screw it in place from the trunk up... what was your experience like?

I put in 9603i reference series 3-ways and an Alpine 3542 amp I had from about 14 years ago.
I could get 3 of the 4 screws in from the top and then one in each I screwed up from the bottom. They are in there solid, and fit just fine, might be a millimeter too big, no big deal.
