Talking Use the NAV as a tracking device

Hi there,
Just wanted to learn more about how the NAV system in the RX-8 works to track its own position. Is it possible to place the tracking device in another car and have the position of the that vechicle reported back to your own NAV system ?

I'm a newbie to the NAV so any help will be much appreciated. Thank you !

GPS gets signals from 3 satellites to pinpoint the position on the ground, then matches it to the map in the database (DVD) where your car shows up.

If you turn on tracking in one of the menus in the Nav unit, it will keep a record of where the car has been in the last 50 miles or so ! neato...
