Trouble with Amp Power
I have had my sub and amp installed for a little while now and recently i have been suddenly losing power to my amp. I will just be riding down the road and the sub cuts out. When i check it out, the power lamp isn't even on. So i decided to test the power connections by touching the positive wire with the negative wire, and no sparks or anything. So i know it is either the 12V source or the Ground. Well, i have tinkered around a bit and when i moved the 12v wire around a bit (where it is connected to the battery) the sub came back on. So i think it may be that wire. possibly a connection with the terminal ring or in-line fuse. Has anyone else had this problem? and can anyone help me to resolve this issue? Thanks a lot.

looks like you found your problem. But word of advice, dont test your wires like that. You're going to fry something crucial one of these days. Just get a cheap 1.99 test light from Kragens or something for that purpose. Id check all connections: at the battery terminal, both sides of the inline fuse holder/breaker, distribution block ( if you have it) and at the actual amp itself. Good luck!

Yeah i know, i just wasn't quite thinking clearly. I did find the source though, the connection to the in-line fuse was loose and i checked it today and it completely came undone. I will definately go the $1.99 test light route next time. i probably never would have thought about doing that. thanks.
