CA is there a DIY metra kit with double din?

i have searched and i cant seem to find one...
i know there is a DIY to remove the factory head unit but is there one that covers installing the metra kit with a double din?

All the instructions are in the manual which you can actually download from the Metra site.

If you need more maybe try PMing ZumnRx8 , that guy takes pics of every install he's ever done.

its basically almost like reverse of the stock plus you have the box which actually has the stuff written on it

I would just like to add my desire to see such a thing. I have seen the manual and whatnot but there is just something about seeing the actual work in progress that makes amateurs like me feel better about doing stuff like this.

because they make it look easy, plus if you run into something you can ask where you got "lost" where as a manual is usually words and a black and white photo

well, has anyone ever completed it?

im still in the process of deciding whether to do it or not.

i would rather do it myself than to pay someone to do it for me.....
i know how to take the stock radio out just installing the metra kit WITH a double din is a little uneasy for me because you would need to crimp wires and such, or at least thats what it looks like

lol If that makes you uneasy, then I suggest taking it to a professional. No offense, but this install is not your run-of-the-mill headunit install. I don't think you should learn how to install a double-din using an RX8 to begin with.
